I wonder how long till they shut it down, I can't see how someone will get away with charging $$ to download illegal stern mp3s. I get mine commercial free of usenet for free!

Optorite User! Need help flashing DVD drive

Same thing happened to me, just ignore the error and flash it anyway. I flashed to 2.16 fine.

Maxtor 160gb 8mb cache for 99.00 NO MIR @ Staples B&M !! Go back and get your receipt adjusted.

I got mine at KompUSSR, and it isn't a CompUSA branded drive. It's straight up maxtor.

Just got one at the Lansing, MI KompUSSR. Worth it even if you have to listen to the morons badger you about the service plan. It's a straight maxtor 160GB, 8MB cache, ATA133 with the controller card. 1 year warranty.
