Yeah the donor screen came up with BIOS password request but was full brightness.
Can see an option to bump up brightness on the keyboard.
I haven’t tried plugging it in with DC power just yet, but the battery is fully charged.

I can see the laptop powering up, and I can see (very very dimly) the display and Windows loading screen.
Yes, I pulled the cable harness from the donor laptop, because they even revised the camera, so I pulled that camera board as well and swapped it over.

From my experience (which is very minimal) - I believe they are treating this like it is a SCART lead but without the monstrous size plug... which would look silly sticking out of the side of a laptop haha
and so that Black pcb is converting a SCART input into an edp or lvds output... is it not??

YEP!!!!! a 34 pin connector but only "21" wires are used between MOBO and input to Black pcb...

I’ve just counted the connector which is attached to the mobo and that has 34 pins going into it…also the ribbon cable coming out of the panel that directly connects to the LCD mobo connector has 34 tracks

Hi, yes you are correct.. I am getting in a mucking fuddle (haha see what I did there)
The RATS nest is a complete rats nest and completely threw me off track....... besides the whole point of my original request was to locate a replacement panel.

No not the ribbon cable between LVDS and the driver board..but the driver board to the panel.
The 2 ribbon cables that come out of the driver board and go straight into the panel. This connection is not a connector and has been installed using micro soldering or heat
