Seems to me that if a host can't deal with someone as reasonable as dchakrab they need to do some rethinking. The "customer is always wrong" attitude of HostPC is a very interesting business model. I'm sure it helps keep things under control in a difficult business where lots of customers...

Apples & oranges. A laptop takes up a lot less space, uses less juice, and is moveable (show off pictures, play a DVD, take it along on a weekend ...). Lots of things that make a laptop useable to an average user have nothing to do with the CPU specs.

B120 - not sure it's hot at any price, but definitely not at that price. There have been lots of B130 deals at that price, and you wouldn't have to spend long at the outlet to do a lot better. outlet - then sort by price -------------------------------------------------------------------...

Quite hot - Dell dual core notebook with 7200rpm harddrive $699

Start by uninstalling all the junk and making sure nothing extra loads on startup, and that's close enough for me not to make it worth a reformat. But geez, could they put more garbage on these things? Also worth partitioning the drive right away, too.
