I've got an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI coming in next week. What I liked about the board is the second SATA II controller. Also, both the SiI 3132 SATA II chip & the Marvell 88E8053 GB Ethernet chip are PCI-E x1 parts. All of the other SLI boards on the market are traditional PCI parts for the...
I second the vote on poor reviews for the X-Connect PSUs. If you are going to be running SLI in the future, you really should get a 24-pin PSU. I've got a PC Power & Cooling 510-SLI PSU coming next week.
I've got mine coming next week...along with a couple of the DiamondMAX 10 NCQ drives, and a Hitachi 80 SATA II drive that supports the full SATA II spec. Even got the Plextor 716SA/SW SATA Dual Layer DVD burner. :) Will let you know how it goes.

Was wondering if anybody knows the answer to this question?
-The DFI SLI board has 2 additional power connectors for stability with SLI.
-The Asus board has 1 additional power connector for stability with SLI.
-The Gigabyte board has an additional 3-phase power module for stability with...
Whilst I'm patiently waiting for an SLI-DR board to become available, I've been trying to figure out which memory to get. I've been contemplating the Corsair XMS TWINX1024-3200XL because of the 2-2-2-5 timings. Has anyone used this memory on their board yet? If so...how well does it work...
Thanks Dan...in looking at the link you posted, I suppose I could just install the regular SATA driver instead of the RAID driver since I don't plan to run RAID on this controller. Going to put the RAID on the nVidia SATA II. :)
So it sounds like I am heading for overkill and throwing cash away...is there generally a good power supply recommendation for an FX-55 SLI system with 2 6800 GT cards (BFG OC), 1 GB memory (Corsair XMS 3200XL), 3 SATA hard drives (74 GB Raptor & 2 NCQ Maxtors), and 2 optical drives (SATA DVD...
Thank's ribbon! The zippy you linked to looks great also...and it's just over 100 bucks cheaper than the PC Power & Cooling.
Here's a link to the pre-release info...forgot to put it in my original post.
850 ETX (SSI)
Hi...new to the forums here...and in the process of piecing together a SLI system based on the A8N board. Been reading quite a few posts about the various power supplies being used. I was thinking about the PC Power & Cooling 850 ETX (SSI) which should be released towards the end of the month...
