So I'm using this relatively old Dell Dimension L800r with a P3 800 MHz cpu, 512mb sdram @ pc100, and integrated Intel 82810E (32mb shared memory) on a 19" CRT @ 1280x960 resolution and 24-bit color running Windows XP Home edition. Hardware acceleration is set to the max.
The service tag...
when i use it with my laptop's wireless g, there is some interference if the traffic is heavy. it doesn't interfere with other wireless mouse though. if you plan on downloading a lot of stuff all the time, then i wouldn't recommend it. but if you're just surfing and you want a mouse, then it's...

Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2. It's pretty much a WinTV-PVR-250 made external. I haven't seen any other usb hardware-encoding tv tuners.
older 2.5" harddrives were 12.5mm thick, which is definitely too thick for the 9.5mm enclosures linked in this thread. i have the one from axshop and it works fine, plug-n-play with winxp home. the extra usb plug is to get extra power. the main one can carry data, while the secondary plug is...
axshop has a blue one for $7.75 shipped. It doesn't say so, but it's 9.5mm too. Comes with the same accessories.

used m6809's with 3200+ and dvd+-rw go & xp home go for...
that probably refers to where the upc is located--on the box, assuming its packaged in a box, or on the product insert if it comes in the plastic blisterpack. I don't think this will work.
i opened my m:robe 100 last night and found that they're using a seagate microdrive, but it isn't the CFII format. it uses a flex cable instead (st6****fx, i can't remember the exact model #). i was kind of disappointed since I don't think this drive is capable of being used in cameras/pdas/etc.
woops, that came out wrong. i mean at the time of purchasing, you don't have control over what your area code is. i never tried to change an area code for one. (we sold these at the radioshack where I worked)
there's also a card to get 300 minutes for $90 that covers you for a whole year. if you don't talk that much then it makes the most sense.
just a warning, though, tracfone's website is HORRIBLE, as is the process for adding time to your phone. doing it over the phone (automated) is...
