Not really. I'm more of a percussion programmer.
I may have misdiagnosed your issue here, and without knowing the device might be of little help at this point ;)
In reviewing the knowledge base article on their website, you should be set to go as you are... 2 mono outputs (POD) plugged into...
The issue here is that the analog (non line level) signals from your guitar pickups are too weak for the POD to manipulate and kick back out to your sound card. When they are amplified first, the POD will be able to have plenty of signal to pass on to your recording input.
In short - yes, you...
Oh snap I can't believe I looked over that part of your post.
The POD specs list 1/4 "to amp" outputs.
Reading up on their site - it mentions that you must switch the A.I.R. setting to DIRECT when plugging straight to recording equipment.
Have you done that as well?
Edit - Sorry...
Line in means that the audio source is assumed to be at LINE level.
Your guitar and a microphone outputs analog signals below line level. This is why mic works, but it's likely very quiet.
To get line in recording, you will need an interface to amplify your guitar.

There is some really cool software the programmers at my office use called synergy.
It's really for sharing one mouse/keyboard with 2 machines on a network.
Probably doesn't apply to your situation but it's tangentially related ;)

Face it, you're reading PDF on a laptop that's meant to be portable. If you want to get a laptop with a large screen, you'll have to carry it's suitcase sized body around too.
I would zoom to the appropriate reading size and scroll down. This works well.
One of the reasons you may...
If you have $2k to burn why not wait a couple months and see how the i5 and such plays out?
You would greatly benefit putting your purchase off for a month, and spending the next couple weeks reading about the current offerings and what's coming up.
Intel i5 will be released soon, Phenom...
So the aftermarket GPU and the integrated GPU both fail to get you to desktop?
Can you still hear windows sounds after blanking out such as clicking the mouse, or has the machine crashed and frozen?
You get freezes that popped up one day, then they continue and seem intermittent and...
Hello PSU forum.
Firing up my computer this morning, there arose a roar. It sounded
like a fan with bad bearings.
I stopped each operating fan with my finger until I could determine it
was my PSU. I tapped the PSU a couple times and the fan stopped it's
noise entirely.
However...
My ambient room temp is somewhere around 21c (no thermometer to check exactly)
My core is 1.325 set manually in BIOS, 1.328 in CPU-Z (fluctuates by.005 or so)
This was lowered from my auto settings of 1.36 in BIOS
The most important thing is deciding what you like to do most, and pursuing that.
Also, consider where you want to live, and the environment you want to work in. Check out job statistics online and read up on
working conditions and typical responsibilities. Programming might sound cool...
My case is here:

I really don't think ventilation/airflow is my issue.
Edit -
My BIOS does have the CPU VID set at the upper limit that it's rated for. But I think that
a big issue here is discrepancy in the heat reporting...
I hadn't thought to check the level of the HS base. I'm going
to disassemble it and verify that it is flush, and then check out
my temps again.
I guess if I can get it ~3ghz and ~60c I'll call it fair and that
will be the ceiling until I upgrade.
I am beginning to feel confirmed that...
