Browser Problem

Hey fella's, been a long time since I've posted something around here, heh. I'm having an issue viewing streaming video (I believe it's only when playing through Windows Media Player) in web pages. As soon as I boot up and go to a webpage (In any browser, I've tried with IE, Firefox and Opera)...

Recommend me a good game(for PC) to buy for Christmas(gift to myself).

I <3 BF2 and play it in CAL, and I gotta say that Special Forces is a great expansion pack. It added what lacked in the original version: actual infantry combat. If you play a map on Warlord or Ghost Town you'll see what I mean. That being said, if you dont like BF2, then dont get the expansion...

Who owns a OCZ modstream psu?

I have a modstream and a tsunami. But my x800xl doesn't need the pci-e cable. I gotta say that the modular aspect of the PSU didn't really help much as I used almost all the cables.. It fits, though it was a little hard to place initially. Good luck, it should work out fine.

performance

How much stuff do you have running in the background? I managed to save almost 100 megs of memory when I was trying to optimize my system for bf2. Just go to the processes tab in ctrl+alt+del and sort them by username, delete all the unnecessary ones. Try running the game then, it should help...

Critique my mid-range gaming PC components

The 3700+ is based on the San Diego Core and has 1MB of L2 cache, the 3800+ is based on the Venice core and has 512KB of L2 cache.

Good choice with the Tsunami. Are you getting the windowed, or non-windowed version? With the windowed version (That I have) every so often you should unscrew the side fan and dust it, the window and the grill thoroughly as dust actually can (And will) get between the grill and the window...

DOOM III and the 512MB video card thing...

That's probably because in that specific part of the game the gpu was the bottleneck and a faster processor wouldn't help.
