X99 is awesome - I would never take any newegg reviews into consideration for any purchase. It is best to look at all reviews and information available. The upcoming MSI X99A MPower and XPower look like they will be real winners judging from testing results that I have seen
You likely didn't break it ;) ... Was it screwed on or did it use a nylon push pin and spring? If it is just the push pin you can spread the gap at the end and push it back through - spreading so that it will be more secure after you push it through. I would also maybe check the TIM on the...
There seems to be a new version of the MSI XPOWER that is being tested - the X99A XPOWER as opposed to the current X99S XPOWER. I have seen friends testing it and getting up to 4700 cache/uncore frequency ( 4500/4600 on air) I didn't get much details other than screenshots for now. These guys...
The MSI Z97I Gaming ACK is the newest version and is worth the upgrade if you will be using wireless much. The Z97I GAMING AC is a great board and likely one of the best available. I decided to go with the Z97M Gaming instead of the Z97I Gaming unfortunately so I don't have as small of a build...
When overclocking patience is key... I have been overclocking for about a decade now and I have known that maddening feeling for sure. The best place to start for you is manually go from stock speed up by 200MHz at the start until you fail. If you do try 100MH, then 50MHz, etc... When you...
That is good to hear :) - I will be reviewing the MPower and XPower soon and haven't seen much talk about the MPower since it is still a fairly new model. I am just hoping / praying every night that they are working on a MATX X99. LOL, I am so eager to have a MATX X99 build and really like the...
The quality of MSI notebooks is great - I am on my third as I upgrade every year and I am looking to get another. It holds up to my abuse and still looks great
I would look at MSI notebooks if you can get them in your area. They have a great selection, are built well, and perform great. If you get one of the GT60/70 line then you will have the backlit Steelseries keyboard which is one of the best notebook keyboards available. It may not seem like a...
If you go AMD you can get a 285 for around that price as well and it will perform well. I just did a review of one and was thoroughly impressed by it. With the 285 you will get all of the recent AMD tech that was put in the 290s while being in the 280s price and performance range.
I would say that MSI 290 is a good deal, but the 970s do seem tempting with the extra power to run even more eyecandy :p ... The MSI 970s are good, and with their Twin Frozr coolers if you ever want to, you can squeeze out a lot more performance.
MSI has a line of good workstations with enough variants to find one suited to your needs and budget. XoticPC or another customizer would have some you can customize as well

Z77 MPower will be your best bet - you will definitely be able to get it at a great price :D It is a strong board that performs very well and will give you plenty of tweaking options.
You need to have the 8pin (your 4+4) plugged in as well as the 24pin... You may need to plug in the extra 4 pin from a 4+4 as I have been informed that they have the 8pin+4pin configuration. You will NEED this to be plugged in to get the board working as it is required to fully power your...
Yes - there is only one 780Ti in the US ;) - It went to the Overclocker "Splave"
This looks like an amazing board and I can't wait to get my hands on one and take it for a spin :D
