How's this for cooling my hot Duron?

sounds like you got a bad chip or are doing something wrong. Alpha lowered my temp by 5C with generic thermal compound over the boxed hs/f. sell your duron and get another one.

hold off on the artic silver, try some cheap stuff first and see if it suits you. artic silver is targeted and priced for a specific audience.

Which case is the best?

saw a cool looking black metal case at fry's for $270, antec? I could most likely beat or meat it witha ripoff $30 case and a few mods (and enjoy doing it). Case temp can only go as low as room temp. get a ripoff $30 case.

Does Anywhere have the Alpha 6035 w/ Delta Fan in stock?

don't kill yourself over the alpha, it is not the only fan for the socket a. i don't think it lives up to its looks.

how are you getting 33-34C at 950mhz!!? How well placed is your temp probe and what is your case temp?

How hot should my duron be getting?

running 600@900, 1.65v, ~43C. below 50C is fine. Make sure your thermistor is place accurately because your readings will be off if it is not (someone could make their cpu temp equal to their case temp if they are retarded enough).

anyone using a tv tuner card to use playstation on their computer?

don't want to fool with bleem and the gaps in its title list. hoping that if i use a tv tuner card and make the video something other than full screen that the games would look better. any suggestions on cards? would prefer one with the 3 rca plug inputs in addition to the antenna type.

Alpha PAL6035 + Delta black label fan = good stuff?

i too got 5C difference between the alpha setup and the boxed fan.

what is a decent fan for my duron 600 (not planning on overclocking)

can you tell us all why you aren't going to oc your duron? No switches on your a7v?

why does bumping up the voltage help OC a cpu?

running 600@900 on abit kt7, 1.65v 44C. As the title says, why does it work? I can hit 950 with 1.75v but below that, say 1.65V, the screen stays black. Bump it up, and i get a checksum error. Bump it up a little more, system posts but windows does not load. Bump up the voltage yet again...
