If you're going to do that, do it on blur so people can use the keyboard.

MS WORD

Another example of Microsoft UI. I've gotten the shortcut to work in Word and Excel by similar methods to above. Of course you have to do it different in Excel. And it's not possible at all to do in Outlook as far as I was able to figure out.

Easiest thing to do is just copy the DELETEs (value only) into a new column, then sort on that.

Using Excel to find solution to least squares fit

I suspect excel can do enough basic matrix algebra to solve the linear least squares equation. I don't know offhand, though.
