next roudn of cheaper x58 mobo?

Saw the new i7 920 for $230, which doesn't seem bad at all, but these mobo are still too expensive. anybody know when the next iteration of sub $200 mobo gonna come? Thanks

Question about new DVD Burner purchase

No, I do not think my power supply has a SATA power connector. I bought it 2 years ago. Doubt SATA was as big then as now. Okay. I'll see what happens ;)

Question about new DVD Burner purchase

Hi guys, so I just purchased a Samsung DVD burner from Newegg, and it uses a SATA Power cable, and a SATA data cable. I know about the data cable, but have never seen the power cable before. Looking for it at monoprice, I found 3, but I don't know which one to buy...

So, I have a NEC 3550, bought it two years ago when that and the Benq were the best DVD burner. Anyway, one day, I was playing Civ 4, and I had to go somewhere, so i quit the game and left my computer on. About an hour later, when I tried to play it again, my DVDrom drive wasn't able to read...

will the arctic cooler rev 3 work on the 7600gt?

I'll be purchasing a 7600gt today, and was wondering if the artic cooler rev 3 will fit on the 7600gt and work on it. If anyone can let me know that'll be great. Also, if anyone can suggest another after market cooler, that'll be awesome too

X1800GTO makes its debut today @ New Egg

does the x1800gto have SM3? The way I look at it, wouldn't the x1800gto be better for future games since its' 256 bit and not 128 bit like the 7600gt? I want some Oblivion benchmark!

Okay, so I'm building a new system, and I just bought an Asus socket 939 sli. Not the deluxe or premium, just the regular one. Anyway, I read on newegg review that the cooler on it suck? And should be replaced? what are they talking about? And how do I know what cooler would replace it...

difference between retail/oem

Maybe this is a stupid question but can someone tell me what is the difference between an oem card and a retail card? Like, what's missing really? Becuase most of the manufacturer I see don't even provide games anyway

ati xt850

Right now, these are going on newegg at sapphire 199 oem, and 209 retail. 1) What's the diff between the oem and retail? Is the oem just the card and that's it? 2) The 6800gs is selling for around the same price, -$20. Out of the box wise, I'm pretty sure the xt850 beats the 6800gs...
