Monitor for programming: 23-24", IPS, 1080-1440p, 250$

I just bought a Dell U2415, and it is an absolutely beautiful screen. I would say it's the perfect balance of resolution and screen size. 1440 is quite small on even a 25 inch screen and you'll see people recommend increasing the OS display scaling. I find this not to be necessary for 1920x1200...

Steam Summer Sale 2016

I would say that BNW as well as Gods and Kings are essential to get the best experience from Civ V. They round it out and bring it more in line with the mechanics of Civ IV. If you really enjoy Civ V, the < $4 is probably going to be worth it.

Comcast ending support for cable modem

The RETAIL SB6141 is not supposed to be EoL according to some discussions on dslreports. The leased from Comcast version is however on the EoL list. You could always try switching modems and see if it activates.

Hyper 212 EVO fan clicking; replacement recommendation?

I personally put Arctic Cooling F12 fans on three different 212 Evo builds. I don't really notice the noise, but I wasn't focused on a silent build. They're relatively inexpensive and my temps remain reasonable.
