WRT54G w/DD-WRT Headache

I've tried both the WRT54G v8.2 and the WRT54G-TM with similar results. The v8.2 has the micro version but the TM version has the latest full version. Is the Linksys Firmware that much more efficient that switching to DD-WRT on these models drops the performance by almost 40%?

Thanks everyone. I changed the DHCP range on the Actiontec to 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.249. Leaving 250-254 available for any routers I use for the WDS. That took care of the problem of not being able to access the web configuration pages. I haven't set up the WDS yet because I've been...

So if I leave it configured as I have it and simply change the DHCP range in the Actiontec to end at 192.168.1.253 and then assign the Linksys an IP address of 192.168.1.254 that will allow me to see the Linksys?

WRT54G w/DD-WRT Headache

If I have the Linksys set to 192.168.5.1 does that put it into a different subnet from the rest of the network that is in the 192.168.1.XXX range? I set it to 192.168.5.1 to get it out of the DHCP range of the Actiontec router.

I've tried both in position after the Actiontec. It seems that once I connect it to the Actiontec I can no longer access the web configuration page without unhooking it and resetting it.
