Does anyone know how to enable the "Slow Mode" on QPI multi? It has only x36, x44, x48, that seem to work correctly. "Slow Mode" just keeps using x36 which isnt really helpful.
I cannot boot past ~7.4GHz QPI 205 BCLK nor past 168x44 ~7.4 QPI
F12 BIOS. Old board i know.
May i quote mechwarrior:
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
If you know your processing power needs, there are many a person willing to help you right here to get there as cheap as possible. On the other hand, if you just want to try overclocking with cheap equipment, no one can stop...
Only offering DHCP service to the network is forbidden, and everyone is using switches to share the pipe coming to the room. I guess routers are ok too if you disable the DHCP server on it first. My 100Mbit switch has worked like a charm, but its getting slow if i want to move huge files from my...
Umm yes sorry about being vague.
The campus LAN is 100Mbps and i cant change that. The other end of the network jack in the wall is 100Mbps so would a switch work if the WAN port was only 100Mbps?
Current setup:
Campus LAN -> Switch -> 2x Desktop + 2x laptop (IPs from campus DHCP)
all are 100Mbps
Preferred:
Campus LAN -> something to get my home lan 1Gbps-> 2x Desktop + 2x laptop (IPs from campus DHCP)
doable in around 100 bucks?
Reallocation count shows 0, and reallocated sector count shows 0. I thought it would have been extremely weird coincidence if the drive started to fail at exactly the same time i updated my system.
There are data recovery programs which can read the disk at a low level and recover files even without a partition. This can take a long time, and needs the disk to be physically intact. Just google for NTFS data recovery. Dont remember if there are free ones.
Some years back i recovered a...
Yeah you surely got some work ahead of you, but unless you do this systematically from the start, you might end up with (a lot) more work or work already done once.
Sometimes when i am seeking a video file located on this Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB HD103UJ or copying data to/from it, all disk activity drops to zero for exactly 60 seconds. Copy process hangs or media player stops responding, and i cant open any folders not i cache from that drive in...

When the card was brand new it used to whine under lower loads as well. Like playing a game, and especially in furmark. I was using the stock HSF then on a cardboard bench set up on my table. It didnt bother me much then, maybe the fan was drowning most of the noise. It was blowing from the end...
Im not sure hot glue would drip through the tiny hole in the cover shielding the coil inside, if there even is one. Does anyone else have a 5870 whining?
