Try this:
1. Boot with CRT
2. Install proper CRT driver
3. Reboot
4. Delete CRT driver from device manager
5. Shutdown
6. Connect LCD
7. Boot and Hope®
I think thats what I did the other day when an LCD would only go to safe mode while the CRT was fine booting normally.
BTW the...
NFS: MW can be hacked to force the use of non 4:3. the cars look better just more zoomed in so don't use the close cam, although the gauges and map are a bit squished, but it sure beats a streched 4:3 image.
I have got one in Australia (staring at my replacement one now) and it has the same banding problems as the 2007fp and 2007wfp, search for the banding thread for more info.
It will probably be released in the US when the current problem is fixed ie. revision A01. I have a revision A00 at the...
I have an old machine with a 9800 pro and nForce3 150, the reason why you can't set AGP 8x is because your AGP Driver is not installed. I had to manually install the chipset drivers piece by piece to get everything working ie. right click on each .inf file in the driver package.
That should...
I am running the 6.5 Catalyst Betas with x1900xt's in Crossfire and it is quite stable.
6.4 Wasn't stable
6.3 Wasn't stable
6.2 Was stable, but Crossfire would crash if the system memory was in Dual Channel. But Single Channel caused the X-Fi to stutter pretty badly. With Dual Channel and...
The Dell forums thread on this issue has now been stickied at the top http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board?board.id=dim_monitor
Oh and here my 2407wfp screenshots:
Ok here are some pics most from Paint Shop Pro 5, sorry about the image quality but it is a difficult thing to...
Have they seen how horrible the banding looks on the left and right edges of dailytech? (black to greyscale gradient)
Not to mention the "dancing banding" when using anything but desktop?
I am on my second 2407wfp now, two dead pixels fixed with bit of rubbing and plenty of banding...
People I have a theory:
Maybe the 2x07 Monitors could be fixed with a new LCD bios?
Looking in the Dell knowledge base, I found an article that refers to a Sharp LCD that has the exact banding that me and everyone that has posted here has experienced.
Here is a bit from the article...
Hopefully it will fix dodgy issues with Crossfire, I am having a new system sent to me ATM and it drove the system builders nuts. They had to use 6.2 to stop the thing from bluescreening in 3D apps
Are you trying to get the TV tuner to work or the video ouput?
If you are trying to get the tuner to work and you are using a recent version of Multimedia Center then that is your problem as the current versions of MMC do an annoying full time timeshift so that you don't need to use the...
The "US Dollar x2" rule applies to just about every computing product in Australia not just Videocards, even high volume things like ram and cheap intel cpus.
How much would someone pay for this in the US?
Coolermaster 4-in-3 Drive box with 120mm fan, for Stacker case
SNT 3.5 USB2 &...
I just paid $902.00Aus for my HIS x1900xt and $990.00Aus for my HIS x1900xt crossfire edition, yes we always get ripped off in Australia its called the "US Dollar x2" rule.
Just like in the UK its the "Change Dollar Sign to Pound Rule".
When I connect my 2407wfp to analog the banding is definitely a lot less with it now only being slightly banded although text (of course is a bit harder to read), but it still sucks.
I might try playing around with options in the service menu that can be changed.
