D3300 or SL1?

For $50 more I would definitely take the SL1 over the T5. Smaller, lighter, better LCD screen (and touch screen at that), the kit lens that comes with it is quieter for video recording/auto focusing. I would not buy the two lens kit with the second 75-300mm lens, just get the 18-55mm kit and if...

1440p: 25 or 27 inch screen?

The biggest factor will probably be how far away you typically sit from your monitor. At arm's length away (about 30") I don't have any issues with 1440p on 27" with no scaling and it's highly unlikely I'd have any issues with 1440p on 25" either but of course YMMV.

Sorry had the wrong number its Q551LN at best buy. Last sale I saw for the Q501LA was for 440 with 6GB ram. Only seeing one for 535 at buydig.com now with 8gb ram but there's still some for sub 500 on ebay if you trust them.

There's those Asus refurbished Q501LA that go for $500 or less, chances are they're not actual refurbs but just overstock sold as such. If you went to Best Buy, hopefully you look a look at the Q550LA which more or less uses the same chassis design, keyboard, aside from the fact that the Q550LA...

Performance problems with the UX305 ?

There's two versions, one with 1920x1080 panel, other with 3200x1800 panel. Anandtech reviewed the 1920x1080 version, Ultrabookreview had the 3200x1800 version, which would explain the performance discrepancies. Which one did you end up with?

My Lenovo t450s experience (review)

Help finding cheap laptop w/decent screen + SSD

New inspiron 15 7000 series is $650 for the base model comes with 1080p ips touchscreen and broadwell i5, but you'll need to get and install your own ssd which would bump up the price a bit. There's probably a coupon somewhere to lower the price at dell direct you can find too, like 50 off 600...

It's supported but it will still use up your minutes IIRC, but really the point of WiFi calling is to have a better signal available in this case.

Phone Data - How much do you use and what type of user are you?

Tmobile says about 5gb a month but I know it's more since they don't put the music freedom usage into their statistics. Probably closer to 8gb with that included.
