Meh, SC2 had december 3rd for its release date according to several retailers, but according to blizzard's currently-running invitational event, it's only a 3rd done with the polishing and stuff. I seriously wouldn't expect D3 to be before the end of next summer, given Blizzard's track record...

You'll have at _least_ 6 months to play with SC2 before D3 is out, SC2 is coming in december, I can't imagine D3 even reaching beta before next summer, and i'd hit at possibly a Q4 2009 release, knowing blizzard it could even stretch into early 2010 though :(

8800GTS to 4850 thoughts?

The first sentence says it all there dude. I'm an ex-AOC player and even running two 8800gts g92 in sli i still saw drops into the lowe 30s, oddly even high 20s on a couple of occasions. The game itself is whack, How can a DX9 game product similar/lower framerates by standard, than Crysis...

Hmm well I am running vista 64 if that helps :\ could attribute to the 3dmark score. what bugs me is, when i was on my asus p5b, my cpu scor was around 3300/3400 i believe, having used it in my sli setup on a evga 780i, its down to like 2900 :o Also my crysis testing was only on the demo as...

VERY slow Vista x64 game installs/ Partition question

Upgrading Rig: 8800GTS SLi or single 9800GX2?

My main concerns with the gx2 are in-case heat issues (Might end up heating up my wc tubing xD), the need for an 8-pinpci-e cable which i do not have, and the price for anything but the club3d version >.<

I'm not sure. I'm torn between several 780i/750i motherboards, possibly even willing to consider a 680/650i if its decent enough to keep my c2d at 3.3-3.6 with sli support that works properly :\

Cheers for that heh. Problem is, i was quoting the _cheapest_ x2 i could find, the Club3d one on one specific website. The BFG card comes in at a hefty £422/$840 for the americans :) Insanely expensive :|

As with most benchmarks, the gx2 and 8800gts sli are literally on-par, with it being down to which brand of gts you get (stock vs oc) as no gx2 ocs are out yet afaik. I'll never go back to ATi i think, Haven't seen them bring out anything at all to compare to nvidia for ages. Even when they...
