VGA cooler for 6600gt?

What really screws up the compatibility is the agp/pci-express bridge chip these cards have. Having the gpu at a 45 degree angle makes few after market coolers work. My card kept locking with the stock cooler and heatsink. The heatsink on the bridge chip had an improperly seated thermal pad...

This is the 2nd time I crashed this week

Recommedations on sub $1000 laptop

I would buy an X1000 series laptop. HP has a $100 mail in rebate available, and with the coupon code you can get another 10% off. I got this blurb from www.dealnews.com (I would recommend only getting 256MB of ram, and buy another stick for about $45 from Newegg, instead of paying $100xtra...

Digital Camera Suggestions

Canon makes an excellent camera. There's at least 3 or 4 different models that will fit the bill. I bought an s110 last year and it's amazing how small it is for a 2mp camera.

Apple iPod or MiniDisc Walkman??

You know a third option, one that is much more useful for other things besides mp3's, would be a Pocket PC. Dell has one for $199 that has a CF slot, and headphone jack. Add a 256mb CF card for about $80 and you can probably store 3 or 4 hours of music... I mean really how much storage do you...

how to do I copy a theme into my pocket PC?? help? I have the e310..

It's kind of ridiculous... even though installing a theme is extremely easy, I found it very hard to find any information on how they were installed. I guess most sites just assume you're supposed to know.

maybe that works... but for me I copy the files directly to the Windows folder on the pocket pc and then they show up in the Today list... under the settings menu so, go to... Start...Settings... Personal Tab... Today, then you should see all your themes in the list. Well I just checked, and...

I'm not sure what kind of keyboard you're refering to, but www.pocketop.net makes a keyboard for it that uses the IR port. I would really like to try the flexis keyboard, but they won't have one out until early next year.

Toshiba e740 Pocket PC at Amazon/Comp-U-Plus $349 AR ($299 possibly with AMEX BVG)

I bought mine from compuplus about a week and a half ago for $379, and I love it. I would have bought the e330 but it's only about $50 cheaper, even though the msrp is about $200 cheaper.

Just how important is USB 2.0??

there's no question that usb 2.0 is much better than 1.1... BUT you don't have to have it on the board you buy. When you need it, then buy a usb 2.0 expansion card for $20. I have usb 2.0.... and not one single device that's utilizing it.

Need help w/a 486SX!!!

I bought my first pc (not including commodore 128) back in '93. Packard Bell 486DX 66mhz 4mb RAM and 400mb hard drive... oh and I bought a Sound Blaster 16bit for it...cuz back then pc's didn't come with sound cards, unless of course they were high end. I was laughing at the fact the new...

DEAL DEAD: Toshiba e740: $379 WITHOUT a rebate!

I just got my e740 from Comp-u-Plus this morning. It came exactly as promised. The unit works perfectly fine, I even removed the battery after uploading my contacts and various software to see if I lost any data... I did not. My unit does fall within the recall range and Toshiba is willing to...
