Linux on Dell C610 Latitude

Using pclinux 2007....picked up all my stuff on my dell m1210 laptop....fast and sweet distro...worth trying out....

First steps to Linux/Ubuntu

If you get a chance and want to play.....PCLINUXOS .92 is a good distro to play with 32 bit.....been using it for awhile....works good so far....another one I have had excellent luck with is Kanotix64 2005-04......just came out....have it installed on my emachine amd64 system....fastest 64bit...

What operating system for an old laptop?

Agreed.....Windows 98se would be a good and simple choice...I have it on an old gateway laptop....works good and steady.....and have a wireless card on it too...works slick so far..

Whoever knows alot about PSU's please read

I have been playing the amd game for awhile....Have read alot of articles and also played alot....seems when I use a power supply with the following specs I very seldom if ever have any problems....I stick with ones that show 3.3 +5 volt combined at 200 or more....usually the most antecs....some...

56k and wireless???

Another way to do this ...I have a USR8022 router....it allows you to use an external serial modem.....that way I don't have to have my computer on while everyone else can still use the internet....works slick...I have 2 computers on wireless...and 3 hard wired....and only have dialup in my...

Mag 17" TFT-LCD Flat-Panel Monitor $399 AR

Just bought the dell tft about an hour ago....454.00 shipped....have a couple of friends that have these....nice units....I have the 15inch one from last weeks dell deals....played max payne on it....sweet units....hope the 17 is as good...will never go back to CRT again...spoiled now....:D

ronein...I am using the ecs one....just posted the link to the shuttle one because the link I tried to click on wouldn't work right....bought the retail amd xp chip and am using the stock hs and fan...sorry for the misunderstanding.....;)

ECS K7S5A Pretty impressed

Well...so far have had really good luck with this board....flawless installs and setup...from windows 98se,Win ME, windows 2000, and then onto Win XP....have good power supply from the beginning...crucial ddr ram....duron 800...then have XP1600 plus....gts video card ...etc...have the latest...
