Altec Lansing ATP4 volume help

Silly question. Can anyone help me? My volume knob no longer controls the volume, treble, bass, etc. It physically rotates, but the volume doesn't change. Anyone had this problem before or have any ideas on where else I can request assistance. I talked to AC already, not much help. I HAVE to...

hmm, very nice bikes. but maybe i should have mentioned that my budget is about $300, +/- 50..... i'm only a beginner, so i wouldn't be able to appreciate all the fine detail and craftsmanship anyway. thanks a lot for the tips tho.
