Hi, Thank you very much. It was an onboard sound something or other and I just disabled it in the setup. I suppose I can now take it off from the motherboard altogether?! By the way, I had done all the things that you had suggested plus more.

Hi, Brand new to this stuff. A couple of months ago a friend installed windows 98 upgrade over my Windows 95 and there were no drivers found for my sound card and needless to say, I don't have one. Everytime my computer boots up I get a message, new hardware found CM18330. I don't need this...
