Forums search results will not open when the word "highlight" is in the address bar.

I don't know what to tell you, both links work fine for me in IE6, Firefox 1.0.1, and Opera 8b2.

Saving settings / extensions in Firefox (was: Firefox SUCKS when you reformat!)

During the installation, if you choose to use the same settings/bookmarks for all users, everything is stored in the program directory. Otherwise, it stores everything in the user's application data folder under documents and settings.

Wireless Mobile Mouse Recommendation?

I prefer something like this It's small and the receiver snaps into the bottom of the mouse when you're not using it.

Windows Explorer Front End

There's xplorer² from the same people as 2xExplorer (found in the big free software thread). You can have 2 explorer panes open in a single window. You can download the free "lite" version and the old 2xExplorer, as well. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but it's better than...
