Need help choosing power supplies

My entire system (besides what's on my profile) has one 500GB IDE drive, a 7200RPM SATA, and a 10,000RPM SATA. Plus I have 4x 80mm case fans (2 with LEDs) and a single 120mm fan. I also have two lightscribe DVD R/RW drives and a floppy drive hooked up too. I don't know if this makes a...

Need help choosing power supplies

My power supply has been giving me fits for a while now. I've heard my seasonic s12-600W rev. A2 PSU has problems with DFI SLI-DR mobos. On occasion, the yellow LED under the PCI slots will start to blink and I can't boot until it stops anywhere from an hour to three days later. If anyone...

even if you do need to get a new windows serial number, most universities and colleges sell them to students for cheap. I got mine for $5 a copy at the campus computer store. There should be a similar deal whereever you go.

Another "How big of PSU do I need" thread...

If/when you need a new hard drive, ribbon had the right idea with a 250GB hdd, as they are the best bang for the buck right now. The best price I've found for a HDD that isn't refurbished or something like that is on the website...

advice on installing raptor

Raid 0 may be faster, but if one of the drives crashes, or something goes wrong, you lose the data on BOTH drives. That said, you must determine if the performance boost will be worth the risk of losing all of the data on the drives for yourself.

7800gtx 512mb SLI

I'll probably just get a 7800GTX KO 256mb from eVga, which should be enough for my system, I can always get another card later. That way I can save the money if I don't need the extra speed (which I probably won't).

Will the cards stay cool enough with the stock coolers on it? I heard that the cards may be too close together for effective air cooling. The Quadro cards run at slower memory and clock speeds than the 7800GTX 256mb version even, 512mb version nonwidthstanding
