Discussion Calling all Newbs and Lurkers! Post here, we want to talk to you!

Joined in 2001 because of interrest in tech and my new job had some startup delays (so lost of lurk time). Still under the 1k messages, but still, the amount surprised me... thought it would be lower... Do i still count as a lurker...? What's the messages/per days formula... ?

I have never fully drained a pen, chapstick, or shaving cream in my life.

I agree Pens, chapstick, gluesticks, superglue, paint, those hygiene whipes ... It seems I always end up using about half before they dry out...

You ever worry your debit card will be stolen when ordering pizza delivery?

So, I have to ask, i'm assuming you can't do anything with the card without a PIN number right? I mean I've been using debit cards my whole life, but unless you are at your bank with an ID, the card is useless without a PIN right? Heck, I've been using debit card to pay online using...

Just curious....how is the weather in your neck of the woods?

95+ F ... which is quite a bit warmer than usual (as in heatwave warm) I've fled to work even during these difficult Covid days, enjoying a cool 73F at work.

Games are on a different laptop ... 1660 gpu i believe.. only really use it for the (mini) LAN-parties/bbq's/special beer taste sessions. A weekend with a bunch of 40 year old's playing (oldschool) games, grilling meat, watching movies, while drinking weird craft beers etc... online gaming...

What kind of mask are you wearing?

Nowadays, a normal disposable mask (bought in bulk), however when things were a bit worse and I had to travel by public transport, i converted my scuba mask similar to this: Got some weird looks, but s**w them, i prefer to be nice and save, especially as I sometimes have to help my 96 year old...

PSA Disney+ streaming has missing some MARVEL content

Hmm as far I i remember Avengers: Infinity Wars, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Ant Man and Wasp were on disney+ Maybe they removed them, or they were only available in the Netherlands? (The Netherlands was the Pilot country for Disney+ i've had it almost 2 months now)

My 2 favourites are still Tripel Karmeliet (heavy sweet) And Paix Dieu ( Heavy fresh ) Lucky I have a local pub that has both on tap.

Have you ever ridden a bike while you were drunk?

Or less drunk friends... or drink less..... hmmm .. nah. Al in all better to fall of you bike at 5 miles an hour than to drive a car while drunk... on a bike you'll usually only end up hurting yourself.

Yup, but dedicated bike paths make it quite a bit safer. It's "OK" if you concentrate, just don't look back at the sound of you mates hitting the dirt behind without stopping 1st... or you'll end up painting the road red with your chin (like I did).
