New Nvidia Drivers (including Windows 7 WHQL)

I got a 14% fps boost over series 181 drivers on my Geforce 260 in Crysis Warhead. Pretty happy with 'em.

Far Cry 2 Benchmarks / Unbelievable gains

just wanted to post my results from the below thread, showing a minimal gain in Crysis Warhead from 178 to 180 series drivers. ____ These drivers are a disappointment for me. E8600, 4 gigs RAM, vista 64 178 drivers on Crysis Warhead with Geforce 260 (original, not core 216) 26.52 fps...

GTX260C216 + 180.47

These drivers are a disappointment for me. E8600, 4 gigs RAM, vista 64 178 drivers on Crysis Warhead with Geforce 260 (original, not core 216) 26.52 fps on 1920 x 1200, gamer settings, 2x AA 180 driver, same setting, 26.57 fps. (after 3 loops) a gain of .0018%, or about 2 tenths...

[OOS] BFG GTX260 OC - $200 AR + S&H

Ordered card and registered today. Got confirmation that bundle is on its way in 2-3 weeks. Will update. So it appears they have quantity as of today, 11/3. Will update when I receive the goodies. Not sure why they couldnt just email the 3dmark download code but whatever.

upgraded to thermalright 120 extreme, my results

Agreed error8. I saw you responded to my thread below...e8600 pulling 75c+ at load under OCCT and idling at 44 using the xigmatek. I am not impressed but dont want to bother trying something else. Used arctic silver and made sure I had good contact. Didnt lap though. What is going on...

Reseatedthe heat sink and fan. I can only conclude I have a hot chip. Idles at 40c and loads Prime at 95. OCCT Takes it as high as 73. Yikes...

http://www.xbitlabs.com/misc/p...-e8600/temp-e0.png&1=1 This graph from an xbit labs review shows that the idle temeprature is around 39c going up to 70c at load, which is comparable to my own experience of around 401c idle, 75c at load. So I don't think something is crazy wrong, though...

I will try slowly scaling back the voltage. It probably is not necessary. I just feel a little disappointed that I paid for a premium cooler like the xigmatek s1283. Wasnt the point of doing that so I can run high voltages without worrying overheating? I just ran occt again and it was stable...

I've been really happy with my new e8600 on a DFI Bloodiron. I thought it was stable because it passed 8 hours prime, 4.1ghz at 1.32v so I left it as my 24/7. On a lark I decided to try OCCT and left it before I went to school today. I came back 10 hours later and my computer has shut down...

E8600 coming, concerned about BIOS upgrade

DFI Windows bios updated worked fine for my Blood Iron, fyi. Only time in my life i regret not having a floppy drive.

E0 Stepping clocking results collection (Q9650, E8600 etc)

I'll bite. e8600 1.328V 4.1 Ghz (410 x 10) 9 hours Prime small FFT stable. Probably can do more but am happy now.

My New E8600

I just got my e8600 on a DFI Bloodiron P35 with 4 GB G.Skill. Brought it up to 4.1ghz on 1.34v and it's 8 hours Prime Stable so I hope this will be a decent 24/7. (opinions on this voltage? Im idling at around 40c according to Speedfan and load is 47....also can someone please PM me who is...

E8600 E0 stepping review at ****

I ordered this with a DFI Bloodiron. Anyone know if I'm going to need a BIOS flash to get the e8600 to run with it? Does the new stepping usually require a flash? it will be annoying because i dont have a spare floppy disk drive...
