Corsair PSUs with sideways cables

I did my new build with the 850x Shift in a Fractal Design Define 7 Compact, while it worked, the space in this case seems kinda narrow so I think I'd have been better off with a conventional PSU. Not sure the degree of cable bending I had to do is good. LOL. Hopefully doesn't cause me problems...

Question solid mobos that don't try to look all "cool" (not OCing)

I ordered an Asus Z790-H for this reason, it's slightly more than the TUF, but I think it's better and it's not too unnecessarily flashy or LED laden. Also doing raptor lake, i5, ddr5.

Question are video card prices headed down yet?

Well I got an EVGA B Stock RTX 3060 12GB for $271 pre-tax. Will work for a build targeting 1080p 75hz until games get more demanding or I get a fancier monitor. So that's a nice price dip, prefer it from EVGA and 1 year warranty, than trying luck buying used from a private seller.

Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950XL confirmed!

Tempting but the software isn't there yet for me, my 640 will amuse me until the price drops further, especially since it's not even on W10 yet.

What was your most significant CPU upgrade?

Pentium 4 HT to an i7 920. gawdam good times (not to mention the spurious jump from that to a 980X haha)

1440p Worth over the reduction in FPS ?

same dilemma, sticking with 1080p 120hz until 4k is viable at 100+fps. 970 here

I so hope that the new cards are at 700$ or less, no more please >_> If it's a cut down Titan I hope it's closer to 600, or that the 980 price drops to closer to 450 or 400$

Is pcper really that biased? It's not like their testing/results were patently false, it's not catastrophic for Shrout to prefer NVIDIA stuff in contemporary times.
