I'm trying to be kind and informative but it is clear that you have something personal against Ethereum.
No, you weren't correct six months ago. There is/was no conspiracy to keep ETH fees high. It is extremely difficult to scale L1 in a decentralized fashion. Solana and Avalanche (avax is just...
Incorrect. Ethereum originally wanted to scale at L1 but after much research concluded it would eventually centralize the protocol to do so. Hence why they now have a rollup centric map for scaling that is already live and can be used by anyone willing to take a look. And base transaction fees...
The part of your post I bolded is factually incorrect and makes me think you don't understand how blockchains or Ethereum works. Nobody decides what the fees for Ethereum transactions will cost. The way fees are determined is the supply and demand of blockspace. Ethereum has a new block about...
What operating system are you guys using for your mining rigs? I'm currently using Windows but wondering if I am leaving performance on the table by not using something based of Linux.
You might be the first miner that I've seen (besides me) with this mindset. I think you have the right mindset because EIP-1559 is extremely important for the longevity of the Ethereum blockchain. The longer that ETH fees are high, just gives ample room for competing turing-complete blockchains...
EIP-1559 would burn ETH transaction fees which are currently paid to miners. This would lower profitability of ETH mining which is why you might hear rumors of miners pointing their GPUs to Raven.
However, if I was mining ETH and EIP-1559 was implemented, I would probably just switch to...
My gaming PC is hooked up to my 55" OLED TV as I prefer gaming on a couch over a desk. However, it seems the options for high quality wireless keyboards with a built in touchpad are limited. I used to have the Microsoft keyboard (linked below) which worked fine but it doesn't have a backlight...
Can you game with these drivers and overclock? The reason that I am using 16.12.2 drivers is because that was the last driver that allowed Fury X overclocking. Every subsequent driver update locked the Fury X to stock clocks.
Using 16.12.2 AMD drivers, latest drivers or even the 15.12 drivers, my Fury X only gets about 19 Mh/s when it should be around 28Mh/s. Any ideas what the issue might be here for the low hashrate?
Sapphire Trixx and I have tried AMD's GPU application as well.
That is a possible work around, but I would prefer to be on the latest driver release if possible. So I guess this would be my last resort.
When I first purchased the Fury X on release date, I had no issues overclocking it. Up until about a year ago or so, one of the AMD gpu driver updates completely broke overclocking for the Fury X. Whenever I try to increase clocks or even just voltage, performance drops 75%.
Has anyone found a...
