A buddy of mine bought one of these. I must admit that it did not fly well and we destroyed it in 10 minutes but we laughed so hard that it was worth every penny.
It doesn't matter how Kerry meant the statement nearly as much as the perception. I am an enlisted member of the army with a bachelor's degree from GA Tech. Additionally, I am one thesis away from a master's degree if I ever get enough time to finish it. I chose to enlist in the Army and am...
In RE: to the processor portion of your question:
IIRC Intel does very well with floating point operations that are SIMD optimized which is more of an approximation but does not do as well with true floating point ops. Basically it depends on how your application is coded.

As to the realism argument, maybe I will turn down all of the eyecandy and see if it helps.

Based on my useage experiences I have found the following:
Celerons SUCK!!! Avoid them like the plague. (The were pretty good back in the 300A days when they would do a 50% overclock but new ones - UGH) - (I know that this was a desktop processor - just a comment.)
The P4M is better but...
