Airflow Suggestions

drill holes close together in a circulat pattern then use a de-burring tool to smooth out the edges - (wear gloves - added so i don;t get sued :) )

Is it the mobo? or the CPU?

try disconnecting all of the front panel leads except for the power. I found that on occasion if the reset is reveresd i get the same issue. When you try this try to disconnect everything except one bank of ram/cpu/hd. U can also try to push the insert key down to get pass the bios safeguard...

Question regarding External Enclosures

Hi, Well I currently bought a WD Caviar 200GB 7200 RPM HD and tried to put it in my ADS External Combo case that use to house a sony 52xCD-RW, and well it only reads the drive @ 120GB and actually can not write to the drive. Well i suppose its due to a limitation of the enclosure and am...

the truth of the matter is this is probably a PII Server with a direct modem connection, cause thats the only way they can afford to do this...and yes i like pizza too.

Cable TV From CAble Modem?

when i was at college at Rutgers, cablevision didn't block off the cable signal, and we ended using that for video for the first month, well until we had cablevision come in and install digital cable.

Hard Drive makes a clicking sound

buy a new HD, your's is going to die. i saw one over at tirger direct for around 90 bucks after rebate. WD HD here its a good price for a great drive, the only problem is waiting for the rebate. i hate rebates, but u can;t really beat the price.

it would be noticible during the video editing, loading, and w/ autocad if you use big files. striping is the way to go.

No internet...

go to cmd, type in -> ipconfig /all check your dns numbers, and more importantly your Gateway and DHCP Server. If it looks outta wack, chances are you have a virus. i recently cleaned a whole office consisting of 50 coomputers that had a W32.**** virus. which sounds very similar to your issue...
