You are saying Havok is just scripted animation and no cloth/ fluid capabilities. I posted a video to show otherwise. Feel free to post Nvidia demos if that proves your earlier points.
That was not a pure tessellation bottleneck benchmark. Besides the 7770 takes less of a hit going to max settings.
This benchmark show that 7770 is far ahead in tessellation.
Really nice implementation of Physx in borderlands 2. This is one of the things that really help differentiate GeForce cards from Radeons. That said, IMO Physx is still far behind Havok in terms of performance.

From what you described, the first thing that came to my mind was what others such as Silverforce also suggest. Initially I strongly suspected the blurriness was caused by FXAA as Ultra setting will put it on high. But something else tells me it may not be FXAA causing the blurriness. What I...
It's possible to apply tessellation in way where realism is improved dramatically without much performance penalty. Just look at BF3. This post demonstrates the fact: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=32590273&postcount=53
That's about the worst graphic card for tessellation...
The max is 1.3v. How did you get 1.5v? For 950mhz try 1.175v to 1.2v. That's what the 6870 use as stock voltage. Try to get the memory up over 1200 as well. Btw even at 900mhz it's already 15% - 20% faster than a 6870 without tessellation.
