Is there a 2011 winner for N dual-band WiFi router?

I just picked up the Apple Airport Extreme Gen 5 after considering the E4200 and WNDR4500. Stability and longevity are what sold me. My WRT54GS Ver 1 couldn't quite handle the Docsis 3 modem trying to stuff 36mbps into a 33mbps max Wan port. I could run the thing for months without a reboot...

Are some routers better at handling torrents?

WRT54G and WRT54GS handle torrents with ease. Make sure you get one that is Version 1 through 4, not a brand new Version 5 (doesn't use linux). To figure out how to see what version they are, www.sveasoft.com has the info you need.

new Audigy 4 doesn't seem any better than my old SB Live!

Which Audigy 4 did you get? The new, cheaper one you can find at Best Buy... or the original Audigy 4 Pro with the breakout box? I immediately saw an improvement in my Audigy 4 Pro over my older Hercules Game Theater XP (same DAC as the well liked Turtle Beach Santa Cruz).

Assuming you meant to say 4 x 512mb sticks --- the 2 x 1gb configuration is faster on the A64 platform.

Need to reformat after upgrading mobo and VGA?

I tried to boot windows just for fun when I upgraded from Nforce2 to Nforce 4 ultra with 9700 pro to 7800GTX ---- Windows immediately laughed at me and bluescreened.
