Are these very high temps for a Noctua DH14 in a Corsair 700D?

I have the 700D case and noticed exactly the same: this case is lacking fresh air inside. After numerous different fan configurations I have now set my case to have two intake Scythe GT 1450 rpm fans on top and one exhaust GT fan (leftmost on top of the CPU cooler) and one 120mm Noctua PF-12...

Overclocking i7 870_Please help

You really need more voltage to your cpu @3.8GHz. At least 1.26V. And overclocking your RAM, you need to increase volts here too, as you have done. But your memory might not OC with your default latency settings, ease them a little e.g. if they have default 7-7-7-24, set them to 8-8-8-24. I...

Update to the above: By adding setting "dynamicLights=true" in Gamersettings.ini and setting also "Dynamic Shadows" first off and then On again solved my problem. At least in the map I was testing and in Squad selection display.

power usage through the roof when overclocking gtx470

I have GTX470 SLI and stock voltages are not the same: one with 0.937V, another with 0.987V. With reduced clocks voltages are the same: 0.875V for 50 MHZ core and 0.887V for 400MHZ core clock.

GTX470/GTX480 not downclocking on Windows 7?

I have the same problem with my GTX 470 SLI -system, GPU2 will not clock down after 3D application is closed. This happens everytime if I have used any OC or core voltage changes (i.e. with MSI Afterburner) or made any changes to nVidia default profile (global or game specific). I can solve...

8800GT strangely low 3DMark 06 score...

I have the same CPU at 2.4GHz in Asus A8N-E mb + Asus 8800 GTS (old version) oc'ed (622/1450/920) + 2GB DDR4000 + XPsp2 and I'll get around 8500 in 3DMark06 with 1280x1024 resolution (no AA,AF). With stock clocks I'll get around 7800. My CPU score is around 1800 though. I'm using 169.04 beta...

x2 3800 OC temps

That's normal IMO. I have X2 3800+ OC 2440MHz and with Zalman CNPS7700Cu temps are 30-32C idle and 47-54C load depending on the application I'm running (Prime, 3Dmark06 CPUtest, games, etc.)

7800GT Overclocking results

When looking into bioses of couple of manufacturers for 7800GT I noticed that in some of them geom. delta is set to 0. E.g. eVGA CO with 470 core/550 memory (look at this bios with Nibitor2.6). I hope this is not the way they are able to advertise higher clock rates?

7800GT Overclocking results

I used Nibitor2.6 and NVflash to raise core voltage to 1.5V successfully for my Gainward 7800GT. Auto detect gave me at stock volt 460/1116. I couldn't go over 470, test would not pass in Rivatuner. After volt mod auto detect gives 484/1165 but this is with artifacts in 3DMark06 SM3 tests...

I installed VF700 again using Arctic Silver 5 paste but no success. All I can get is somewhat lower temps in 3D load, max 61C in Quake4 Demo, max 56C in 3Dmark06 and no artifacts when OC 465/1202. Have to run more tests today. Odd that cooler does not sit tight on GPU chip, it turns around the...

Thanks for your answer Westfale. I might try with better paste then. I noticed also that heatsinks will "turn" 1-2 mm around their axis. I cannot tighten it more. Is this normal? With some RAM tweaking I could run my card with 470/1211 without any artifacts in 3DMark06 resulting 4404 in...
