took the fan out and cleaned it up and added thermal paste, seemed to help a bit

i always keep the card clean, nothing is bothering the fan, when it heats up, card cracks a bit, sounds like the thermal compound is un-sticking or something like that.

Hey guys i have a Sapphire HD 5870, got it when it first came out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102856 My question is, can anyone show me good aftermarket coolers for this card that fit? oh yeah and anything under $70 for an aftermarket fan would be great Problem...

here are my temps and game screens all settings are maxed, but res is 1024/768 aa-8x i get 100 - 150 fps cpu is currently at 2.4Ghz

i use the bios for overclocking, to check my cooling i use CPUz and HW monitor. i have no heat problems at the moment because my cpu isnt overclocked. temperatures on my cpu/chipset and gpu are real low. gong to take a screenshot in a bit

yes when i posted that it was an aftermarket, i was just about to change it. as you can see the after market cooler is at the bottom of the case ( the copper one that lights up). i decided not to do it yet because the stock cooler hasn't died on me yet + i have to take everything out. hopefully...
