thats not the issue. it is weirder. i dont have to manually map the drives ever. cold boot: no map, reboot after that: automatic map. its nuts. :-/ fyi its a gpo calling the login script the login script maps 1 drive to the local DC, that is failing. the login script maps 1 drive to another...

Does WinX have SYS-Prep?

not just that, but windows 8 is a lot more particular about tolerated OS changes than windows 7. since it is meant just for customizing deployed pcs, really using a pc then trying to run sysprep can cause headaches. the resolution to a lot of them is: just deploy a fresh OS, IMMEDIATELY run...

this is really odd to me. we have a vmware host, and last week the motherboard was replaced. it runs 3 vms - a 2008r2 DC, a 2012r2 sql server, and a 2003 TS server when i powered vmware on after the board replacement, i told it i moved the vms. maybe i should have clicked copied *shrug*...

Any good software to convert Word <> JPG/PDF?

onenote 2010/2013. will do OCR on images/screen clips, save as word, onenote or pdf [which, imo, is as good as saving a document as an image, since you get a static document]

Amazon treats different prime customers so differently, some at treated like garbage.

i havent been able to justify even bothering with pantry. i live 5 minutes from a grocery store and only need to go once a week. the pantry prices arent that good, and paying extra for shipping is silly. subscribe and save i love, however. /mmm coffee

I just tried Sriracha for the first time

my friend seems to think cats are superior to dogs, because the cat shits in a box and doesnt ruin the house. im still not convinced having a concentrated location for animal turds is the best thing ever. /also dislike house dogs
