Suprising Battlefield 3 CPU benchmarks

Really? ran ok on my 4850 with a q9450 @1280x1024 - around 35fps but never felt unplayable or had any drops to 10fps. I know if I just upgraded my gpu it would be enough but I have people asking me if they just upgraded their gpu with a core 2 duo only would it be enough and I have no idea...

Windows 7 Server to be 'minor release'

Isnt the scary thing that if your regular windows user is stupid, then they are going to click YES when UAC informing them of malware/virus comes up anyways . They should definitely let you turn it off, but should also provide a more "scary" warning when it comes up

Does Windows Vista 64bit still have software compat problems?

^^ also 56k usb modem = no dice (if that kind of stuff is still useful to u still) I would also think if you have any niche products like wacom tablets or very early usb products, check carefully and be prepared to compromise I guess.

vista and sound really sucks crap imo. if you have onboard sound you can try updated drivers from the realtek website. thats the only thing I can suggest. I cant seem to find the solution to a problem I have though which is that vista is not able to output to spdif and headphones at the...

BadaBOOM Encoding

ATI has an equivalent solution - the avivo encoder but it suffers from the problem of not being fully developed. It only has 2 settings profile (divx,ipod etc) and bitrate. The quality is set to lowest just so ATI can impress us with blazing fast encode rates - it would really help if it...

Does this excel formula exist?

BUMP - also is there a way to remove a suffix from a list of cells eg. Bill Gates MSFT turns into Bill Gates - I wont know the number of characters in the name, but I should know the number of characters that need to be deleted.

Unless Im understanding it wrong - I dont think the wildcards can help because my list of names is not fixed in the number of characters? eg. =Match("B2*", A2:A5, 0) Doesnt link to cell B2? - it doesnt work without the "" either It should work if I ask =Match("Bill*", A2:A5, 0) but that only...

Hey, I'm trying to find something that can help me collaborate two excel colums into some meaningful data. Only problem is that my name list is not exactly the same so is there a formula that searches partial matches? eg. I know about the "MATCH" and "VLOOKUP" function but that only works...
