Is hooking up 2 cable modems to 1 cable line possible?

My landlord provides free internet (and cable TV) to me via wireless, but the connection is spotty most of the time. I was wondering is it possible to connect my own cable modem to have the internet in my apartment? I don't want to go out and buy a modem if it's not going to work. We have Time...

Unable to associate .doc/.docx files with MS Word 2007

I am using Microsoft Word 2007 and I have a problem double-clicking on a Word file(*.doc, *.docx, etc.) to open the document. When I double-click on the file, Word will open, but the document itself will not appear in Word. Instead, I get a message that says, "Windows cannot find...

DVD/RW drive disappears from 'My Computer'

The DVD drive is the only drive on the cable and is set to "master".

I have a problem that's been going on with all my CD/DVD ROM drives. It'll show up in the boot sequence but not in WinXP. I can temporalily resolve the problem by turning off the the computer, unplugging the IDE cables, and then replugging them. It'll show up in Windows but after the computer...

Maxtor 6L200P0 200gb HD showing up as less?

Wow, I would've never thought of that. I have an old ATA-100 card, which I found to be convenient to plug in and reformat the new drive. I will try to reformat with the drive with the drive connected to the motherboard. Thanks, stardrek.

Maxtor 6L200P0 200gb HD showing up as less?

Hi, I just installed a 200gb Maxtor HD (model 6L200P0) purchased from Black Friday. Box and sticker on the drive say it's 200gb, but it's only allowing me to have a 127gb partition. Upon boot up it says 137454mb. Is it a partition issue or did Maxtor rip me off? Thanks. Edit: Currently...

Resizing resolution of .avi file?

I am trying to reduce the resolution of a full-length movie in *.avi format as well as the size of the file itself, to play on my Palm which has a 320x320 screen. Is there any (free) program out there that will allow me to do this? Thanks in advance.

PC doesn't boot if standing upright

Copying copyrighted CD's - How do you do that?

I wanna copy my Medal of Honor but I've had no luck. I tried CloneCD but the game doesn't recognize the copy ("Please insert CD..."). DiscJuggler won't do it and neither will Nero. How do I make a copy?

well all like reboots....well....., not really!!

Nimda Virus..even with norton!!! HELP!!!

If you're on a network, such as a college campus, and have a shared folder, you get that message alot. I've had experiences with this before and it turned out to be a computer on the network that had the virus, not me. Just unshare all your folders or make it read only and give it a try.
