IMHO, we deserved a sub 500$ 144Hz 1440p card after years of disappointments from both sides ...
There is no way to push such wattage on that cooler. If you didn't tweak the voltages, no power headroom will give meaningful performance boost ...
Don't understand why the performance drop for some compute.
Is sampling running always, or on compute switch (e.g. different shaders running if I understand correctly)?
If it's running once, why should there be a drop?
Tariffs are paid on incoming goods, so if Trump adds them, it won't effect nobody until someone returns the favor.
I don't understand what all the fuss is about. They are waiting for nVidia to show their stuff first and act accordingly.
Why not polish the drivers/software with added time...
6800XT@2450MHz (1036mV) uses a hair under 330W when allowed to go full power on TS. So this could mean +1GHz on max frequency (at same power), the rest of perf on architecture (hopefully positive)...
VRAM 10C over hotspot?
Anyway, my 2,5 slot RX6800XT hovers around 90-95C on hotspot at similar wattage.
This looks like a water cooled product, but memory temp worries me ...
My system (1680V2@4.4 with 6800XT and rebar) gets 500 more points in Time Spy with HT disabled.
Switching to xAPIC interrupt mode + HT off gives the best latency and snappiness, but some games (e.g. Hellldivers 2) will use more than eight cores when available and in this case it loses around 10...
