Buying new TV, need advice

Thanks guys, I'll keep your advice in mind. I found a nice 32" Panasonic IPS-display tv for under $320, but it's 720, and 32" is on the low side of the size I wanted. Still, it looks like a good value. What do you think? http://www.abt.com/product/52766/Panasonic-TCL32C3.html

Well, it's time to replace our 12-year-old Sony CRT tv, and I know very little about LCD televisions. I bought an LCD monitor last year, so I know a little about the LCD tech, but not much as it applies to a TV. Info like brightness and contrast are, as I understand it, useless due to the way...

Thanks Ken. Yeah, USB 3.0 isn't important to me as long as I can get a card to add it later. I remember adding USB 2.0 via a card many moons ago. I can't think of anything I'd NEED USB 3 for. Mouse? Keyboard? Printer/scanner? All work fine. External storage would be helped, but that's not...

I wish. MC have (or had yesterday, anyway) a B&M-only deal, $80 off any z68 motherboard and 2600k. A few combos took you into the $300-$320 range. That would have been sweet. So, no thoughts on the Gigabyte board I posted?

That really is not helpful. What makes you think that by buying locally I can get ANYTHING cheaper? What makes you think I WOULDN'T if I could? I'm not near a Frys or a Microcenter. There are no local store here that offers ANY kind of selection, anywhere near to the prices you find online...

There are budgetary constraints. That motherboard would, with shipping and the 9.5% state tax I would have to pay (Newegg has a warehouse here) leave me without money for RAM. Thanks for replying, though.

Gotcha. I'll look for good prices and good reviews. Thanks again. Kinda excited at the thought of the new build. It's been a long time since my computer has had that "new computer" feel - snapper, faster than I'm used to. (sigh) That wears off so fast. In 2 days I'm impatient again!
