help!!**to RAID or not to RAID, that is the questions**

currently i have two 40g maxtor hard drive, one 7200rpm and the other 5400...in RAID-0 mode, is the RAID performance worthwhile compared to the performance of the 7200 drive alone, speedwise? or will the RAID performance suffer to a level less of that of the 7200rpm HDD? please help, anybody...

On power-on: No POST, no beeps, no monitor signal, no nothing.. HELP!!!

i had pretty much the exact problem. bdog231 suggested it was possibly a bad bios chip. he said: "I had an EPox board die on me. It would start up but there was no video, all it needed was a new BIOS chip." if you're taking this approach, call gigabyte customer support and ask them about...

msi kt3 ultra - raid not showing up during post

go to bios and make sure raid is enabled...see if that'll do.

***is this mobo fried for good??

i recently fried my abitkt7 and i tried everything to see if it still works, but it doesn't seem to...perhaps someone can give me a pointer here..dumb me dropped a screw onto the board (it was off, however), shorted some components, and the computer booted, but nothing happened however....here's...

ECS K7S5A mobo

i own a k7s5a and never had a single problem with it....although it's a fast board for its class, stable and cheap, my only complain is its limitation in overclocking...if you don't plan on overclocking, this is the board to get..

KennyTheGreat, UofT's better! check out the most recent Gourman Report Ranking, and it still is. Although U of Waterloo's great, it didn't even come close to UofT :)

i figure that since there are so many techies and people from all over the place, there are bound to be at least a few people going to UofT for computer engineering......i will be moving into to residence next week and am interested who else is gonna be going there :)

you can try rechargeable alkaline batts, although they can only be recharged no more than 25 times, which leads to high cost on the long run.
