Mount it outside the case. Yes, take the 212+ off and just take it off & put it back, re apply thermal paste if needed.

Probably nothing wrong with it, I don't know which one you have so I was just assuming. You could try other type of recording software such as Xfire that records but in a lower quality and usually lags less than FRAPS.

It's a "gaming laptop" it will obviously get hot. I suggest you to get an aftermarket laptop cooler for whenever you play. FRAPS can lag for many reasons, in this case I would guess HD since it's probably slow.

Suggestions requested for gaming rig upgrade

The only thing I would change/upgrade is the GFX card, I had that series too and they are LOUD and run really really hot even on idle(65c).

I wouldnt bother using it for cache, I'd rather install the OS plus 1-2 games and the rest put them in your HD.

As much as your HD holds them, I have like 10+ games installed, even though I only play like 3. The most I play are on my SSD.

I am kind of confused by your question. Do you mean running them at the same time? If so, I don't see a problem running SC and BF3 at the same time. Only problem would be if whatever game you play conflicts with each other such as in anti cheat(being the same), usually doesn't let you...

Newly Built System locking up - CPU Vcore experiencing MASSIVE fluctuations (33%)

If it was more than 2 weeks I would say.. because I was having a similar problem but I built mine around february and it was OC'd the whole time and all I needed was to add more voltage to the cpu & memory, no more lockups!

I would much rather get that case you want alone and grab the psu I linked - but thats just me. As for the CPU and heatsink pretty much what he said^ I will just add that you won't have to apply thermal paste as the stock one comes with it pre applied.
