My friend gave me his old computer with a GTX460 SE, which I'm setting up as a mediacenter for my 50" 4K TV.
The video card is connected to the TV via DVI to HDMI adapter, however it only outputs 1080p maximum. How do I get it to output 4K?
Latest drivers installed, CPU is a Phenom II X4 955...
My young people's group has a paper songbook that we use and update it yearly, taking out old songs, putting in new songs and then we reprint it.
We have 3 versions of this songbook,
1 is the songbook with words only (paper booklet)
2 is the songbook with words and chords for the leader (larger...
I have a weird question, I would like to know what is the most powerful video card I could pair with the Celeron J3455 before the J3455 becomes a bottleneck?
Would it be a GT710?
My dad used to work at Fujitsu and he told me that lower level laptop manufacturers will buy batches of CPUs, LCDs with higher defect rates at a lower price.
As an example, a top tier manufacturer like Dell will only buy batches of Intel CPUs with 0.01% defects and won't accept anything less...
Ah that I knew but never considered. Haswell-Es are a lot more expensive than even X370s arent they. For me I always buy the cheapest ATX mobo I can find, which usually runs me $100.
Yes I use Premiere, sometimes Da Vinci Resolve as well. Can I assume that multithreaded performance drops are perfectly linear with core count and frequency? Since the 1600X is just a 1700 with 2 cores disabled. Barring binning factors and other stuff like that of course.
And since I don't OC...
Thanks everyone, and that's a good idea, getting my Mobo/CPU last. That way I can test hard drives, video cards on my current computer. I'm not taking anything out though because the old computer is going to my sister so she can play SWTOR on high. I'm sure some of you vomited when you heard...
I currently have a pretty old gaming computer that I want to upgrade because I use this same computer for video editing.
I live in Canada so I'm currently looking at the Ryzen 1600X as the CPU I'm building around in order to achieve the best render times below a $300CAD price point and do some...
I'm looking for a new mouse and I'm looking for a huge mouse, as big as they get. I used to use an IBM ergonomic mouse that was massive but that failed and I've been using clawgrips ever since then. I am wondering if there are any mice that are longer than 17cm or 6.7". I also don't want to...
OK thanks, I will investigate both splitters and receivers. However, if I wanted to plug in the 5.1 system to my Windows box, can I use something like this?

Hello everybody, I currently have a Logitech z506 surround sound system that is plugged in to my gaming computer. However, I recently just obtained a Windows TV box and am using it as my Plex media server connected to an old but not ancient 40” LCD TV (I’m getting overscan issues but that’s for...
