What's the minimum laptop or all in one for a relatively fast internet browsing machine?

If you don't want to be troubleshooting slowdowns anytime soon, a modern quad core and SSD should provide ample headroom for novice pc users to thrash it without feeling excessive slowdowns. Means they would have to do an impressive amount of damage before it slows down enough to call for help...

Fixing a P4 build for a family friend. Need cheap graphics card used.

Should have just gone the sleeper route and transplanted the stuff from the new PC into the old case. While it would take time and possible metal cutting, probably still less painful than waiting for XP to update.

Perhaps as far as number of cpu designs that lack Speculation, though the Cortex A53 design is used today in very many devices, either alone or in a big.Little configuration.
