Pass Your Microsoft 70-693 Exam Easy!

Passed exam today with 916 pts, mostly thank to this dump. You can use this exam to prepare and search for any addition knowledge you need to answer questions you are unsure about. With this dump it is not possible to pass the exam based solely on the dump and answers themselves. The exam is hard to pass and not all questions are included in this dump. Real knowledge of Hyper-V etc is needed.

Tough exam total of 60 questions. Two testelts with 7 questions each running on their own individual 26 min timer. (Btw timer starts as soon as you start reading - and there is a lot to read) + 46 multiple choice questions in 48 min!!! most of them lenghty including A-M answers with radio buttons and other questions with checkboxes where one to many answers can be correct .I ran out of time on the multiple choice part and wasmt able to answer all questions. The testlets both had a review option - the multiple choice part didnt. All three parts have comment sections. Rather annoying is the fact that you have to scroll around in the windows due to the lenghty answer selection list. Surprisingly many questions dealing with vmware - all in all a frustrating experience due to the lack of time for the multiple choice section.

as for me - there are the same stuff which we have here. look at the number of questions: 133 here and 133 there. not a simple match i think

Windows 2000 can be converted from physical to virtual. but only offline not online. if question have no mentions about type of conversion - so windows 2000 can be converted i suppose.

As for me - i will have real problems with licensing questions, because in my work we all work with SPLA and have no problems with every single license. so licensing is dark matter for me. now i'm reading alot's of paperstuff from microsoft about licensing :)
also backup strategies will be hard. just because i always use storage snapshot and history solutions, not the windows abilities.

Thanx for responce! So this exam is now similar to designer's exam from MCITP:EE track (Also Designer's exam in MCSE2003 track). I have experience with both of them. I think it will be enough time for me.

as for the questions you posted:
For the VDI question with revertable state of user activity the pooled VDI is right answer
so "A. a virtual desktop pool" is correct one. because only in this case we can create pool of VD with single VHD. And every single connection from user will be actually work like temporary AVHD which will be deleted after user exit from session.

for increasing the storage and memory - it is always the bottlenecks in my real practice :)

for p2v - h1 h3 and h4 cannot be converted. itanium, and unix are not in list.

for the app1 - RemoteApp is the answer i think. because we have here minimal overhead with upgrades and patches when we have one application stored centrally and published to users

for p2v WindowsXP with FAT. I dunno. only SP3 XP can be p2v. so if here is no mentioned about sp3, we have no possibility to convert it.

i went with mandatory profiles. I haven't actually configured microsoft desktop virtualisation so im not 100% but i know you can achive this result by using mandatory profiles. In vmware view this is a check box for the VDI pools so it could be A or C, but i doubt that MS VDI has this feature

you get 50 minutes for the first 40 question, then the clock starts again.
12 question (6 for each company) 20 minutes per company i think. This was easy. i struggle a little for time on the first 40 question but not the 2 testlets.
dont make the same mistake i did, which was write down the details about the company on supplied exam paper. you can just jump back to the company information while anwsering the questions. For example one of the test questions was..

basically this refers to the company information again. from memory Humongous1 was itanium win 2003 x64 (ia64). Humongous2 was alpha i think. Humongous3 & Humongous4 were unix boxes (no brand name). Was the last part with 2 organisations testlets separated by its own time? Or the whole exam was within 50 min time limit?

I had 40 questions (50 mins) - Three company senarios running through parts to be a compplete solution, MPIO, CSV, High avaiablity, live migration and management and BACKUPS (lots of backup questions). Then having to select the appropirate application virtaliztion ( RemoteApp / App-V / MED-V ) Plus some random question that we covered in the previous two exams. Also know your licensing VECD, MDOP ( one question seemed to be a little a little tricky which im not sure if i anwsered correctly was about MDOP and how to licesnse it. I choose software assurance, as i understand that i need SA to be elegable to purchase the MDOP. Also rember that App-V is included with Remote Desktop 2008-R2 cals as well as the MDOP. I think you need to run test environments to simluate VM networks on how they communicate between external, internal and private. The last part where two "testlets" which are senarios of two companys that you need to virtualise. This was the easiest. mainly around application virtualization. Good luck

Problem on the licenses, on the virtual networks, with regard to RDS.
It's really damage that it is there any images and especially no explanations on the answers given.

I'm using Hyper-V in production since 2009. Already built several multinode hyper-v clusters, built mssql2008 clusters. Using SC products till 2010. but i still unsure that i will pass this test, because, as usual, there will be alot of questions wich have little convergency with real practice.

by the way we have here at least 27 questions from different scenarios (it can be seen from context of such questions). but without main description - they are useless. without main description of scenario it is impossible to figure out the right answer.

do any of you guys actually use VMM and hyper-v a in production? This being a solution design course/exam im wondering if the case studies are more suited to people actually using there product and understanding real world practices. I dont actually use the product, but have many years in VMWare land so hopping some of the design principles will apply. Will find out on thursday i guess

wao you are the reason Jenny, I failed yesterday 666/1000.
I notice that 9 question with 11 options A to K does not appear in this test.
The people from India that get 1000/1000 is the responsable that microsoft change this test.
The this test does not shows the drag and drop option.

Several question in this test are missing answer, example:

Question 18, 41, 43, 79 , 97, 116, 125, 128,
These question has picture with drag and drop but is missing in this test.
Also the test came with 2 case study, every case has 7 question, this mean 14 question
plus the other 8 drag and drop question are missing.
In total 22 questions are missing and the test only has 54 question,
this mean tha if you use this test you are candidate to get 500 or 600 score.
Also several question does not came in this test, like 10 question are completed new.

I failed to day 500/1000, this test does not work.

can you describe just a little bit more spreadly about simulations you got?
which tasks did you need to od in each simulations and which tools was available for work?

I failed today, I study from trainsignal training, microsoft hyperv book.
This only have a 30% of question to pass.
The question about virtual network and case study are too confused.
I hope that somebody paste the test with corrections.

I feel your pain, Jenny. Don't let it get you down too much. I spent months piecing together study material for this exam and failed because of the drastic changes that they made. What isn't fair is that Microsoft does not provide any official test study material. I had to spend hours going through forums to find out exactly what would be covered on the test and when I was finally ready, they changed everything. I, like most people, don't have time to waste on their crappy 5 day workshops or whatever it is that they offer to prepare for the exam. So now, I'm back to the drawing board. I've been studying my butt off to take a 2nd shot but like everyone else, I would sure love to have more knowledge of the exam before I blow 150 bucks on it. Thanks Microsoft, you really care. :P

I get 666 score, this test has wrong answer.
also the test came with two case study.
The simulation are also missing.
The test with 4 simulations, two about virtual network and other cluster configuration and load balancing.

I feel frustrated, I am crying right now, I study so hard using cbt (training signal and nuggets), I also used this test but this test is invalid.

I failed today with 550 /1000 , this exam has some missing question.
The system came with questions about virtual network, cluster and several question that does not came in this practice test.

Can anybody say an example for a case study?

By the way, do the 50 minutes limit is for whole exam, including 2 case studies? Or every case study have its own internal timer as it is on designer's exam on MCITP EA track?

p2v can be done online. thats why it is the answer. but i agree - question is a little bit silly :)

treat it as p2v so there is no (almost no) downtime. quite a silly question, but goal is to minimize downtime

i passed exam some days ago.major task was to answer in time.about 47question in 50 minutes is quite a hurry. to read, to think and to answer

the exam contained 2 case studies, but they were not hard to answer

question 43 - we need to shutdown VM on ESX host, then initiate v2v conversion process. in short. so p2v conversion answer is wrong

This test does not have the simulation question also the 2 case with 7 question.
The test does not show the answer in several question.

Passed yesterday, this isn't perfect but will certainly help you through with a little knowledge.

In my test there are 47 questions in 45 min. + 2 case studys with 7 or 9 questions each. I failed with 666 Points

So this has all the standard questions just not the case study or simulations? How many questions did you get in total?

That kind of simulation uses in exam? Can anyone describe it?

This test does not work.
If want to pass does not use this test.
The exam has two case study with 7 question every case and several simulation that included network configuration with cluster and virtual network.

This exam has a new question but is not enought to pass, the exam came with simulation and two study.
Today failed with 616 score and this test is simular but does not have any simulation and the two case are missin.
If you want to failed does not used this test.

Just to clarify, I don't have any more content to add to this dump. This is all I could find. Again, if somone who has recently failed or passed this can validate that it is close to the new exam format that would be great.

it is not bat that we have no all answers. we have brains to find the answers ourselves :)
bad is that we have no pictures in questions at all. that is sad. without pictures lots of questions lost their sense.

I've not taken this myself but based on the feedback of others on this exam sounds like it could be accurate. If someone who has recently taken this could validate that would be awesome (Unfortunately it doesn't include the case study background or drag and drop answers, but should give everyone an idea of what to expect).
