I used this dump as reference, I got maybe 8 questions off this dump. You have to study. If you know the content, you will pass. Don't depend on just this dump. Passed with an 850. A cert is useless if you get hired and don't know what you're doing.

@Shadowner - My take on the adatum question is as follows - Windows Server 2008 R2 RODC can be supported at Forest and Domain functional level of 2003 and this is something given in the question. This rules out B and D. Both A and C are valid answers and therefore the emphasis is on - What needs to be done FIRST? We don't know if the domain already contains a writable Windows Server 2008 R2 DC as the question is silent on the point. If 2008 R2 DC is already present, we will still need to run adprep /rodcprep. If 2008 R2 DC is not present, we still need to run adprep /forestprep and /domainprep in order to install the first writable Windows 2008 R2 DC. In either case adprep needs to be run FIRST.

I failed the exam with 668 just looking this questions! A lot of new question, I think that this VCE has too much old question.

I think that the correct answer is C. Adprep. because when you need to raise the forest functional level you need to raise the domain functional level first, if not, you receive a warning from the GUI when you try to upgrade the forest level and have the domain in a lower level.

I have this exam tomorrow and have spent about 35-40 hours reading the MS book and then another 10 hours reviewing this dump. Hopefully even with the MS exam changes it will see me through.

Passed today with a 717. This dump is definitely valid for about 70%. M$ is still using the same questions from this dump for about 70% percent of the material.

With being said, guys if your serious about passing this exam, please don't just rely on the dumps, pickup the book and read it and do the labs. You will learn a heck lot more and have a better idea going into the test knowing the material.

The rest of the 30% was def all knowledge testing from M$. They put in new scenarios where you have to either arrange the right order of doing things or either picking the right selection.

@NWTraders: from what i have been reading on the comments there seems to able to questions on DNS. Know that well. Also when ur taking this exam for practice, try to focus on your week points and go back and quickly review those topics again.

No, the answer is 3. There is a forest with two domains - therefore if all DC's need to resolve, you need to replicate the Stub Zone throughout the Forest and not just the one domain.

That question is rofl easy - its obviously option 4.

there's forest with two domains and a member server that host a primary zone and you need to make sure that all domain controllers can resolve the domain for this zone
the choices were :

1)configure a secondary zone on one domain controller
2) configure a secondary zone on the member server
3) configure stub zone on one domain controller and make replication scope to the forest
4)configure stub zone on one domain controller and make replication scope to the domain

that what i remember about this question not like the exact one but almost the same idea

NOT VALID! know your stuff and you will pass. I did, barely! I used this as a study guide and did not rely on it as a means of the actual answers. there were about 45 questions on my test not seen in any file. there were also many exhibits and stuff. bottom line know you crap and you'll pass, dont know your crap you'll FAIL. it is an extremly hard test, so before you waste money preparre yourself and dont get a paper cert. they are worthless anyway

Passed in UK 20/07/2012 with score 752/1000. Learned only from this dump, although not valid, there was 10-15 new questions and some exhibits. It was really tuff. Learn the materials well and do not skip anything! M$ always tests you from their latest technologies. In this case there was a lots of DNS & RODC. Thanks for this dump anyway!

It was about dsmain question. To view information from an AD Snap-in already mount. it was mostly for LDP question but here it was about AD DS mounting. I was very confuse to read it again and again :)

a very common command of like common question of dsmain. with answer of change dbport and dbpath parameters: but it shows a command prompt Exibit in which they execute this command. I guess nothing wrong with the command and an error show after running this command.

Hint reminds about command.

I took Exam yesterday. So many new questions:

One Question was about GPO permission for a User when it logon on some specific computer then he get Local Admin rights on that computer only and when it log off the Local Admin Rights got back and When it get login on another computer then don't have the Local Admin. It was regarding GP setting of Computer Configuration for some specific Computer (Possibly for his own PC only). I choose answered something like: "Create a newGroup Policy and Link it to the Group from where user belong".

@lolcat, there was a new point and shoot regarding permissions on a shared printed, new questions re AD FS, a few new questions with options A-J on various topics. Can't really say more than that unfortunately. I would say that about 26 questions came from this dump and that includes the maxbox questions. Study hard!

@Andy any chance you could give us a few clues to what the new questions were on, whether they were tough, or similar to dump content in terms of theory.

Passed today with no problems, this dump however is no longer 100% valid. There are many new questions which I did not recognise and I knew all 402 from this dump very well.

Also some of the existing questions have been modified with different descriptions and answers.

If you have studied this dump and information from other sources i.e. text books etc you should pass ok, but DO NOT rely just on this dump as it is now out of date (in the UK at least).

I use them because I get nervous when I pay $150 for a test. so to to fail is not an option. some of the test questions are so abstract and out of this world, you almost NEED to know what you are up against. so its less about cheating as it is about having an idea of what to look for. thats all

I passed the 70-640 test today with a score of 735. I am currently in a MCITP class held at a technical school in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), but I only used the prsctice test of AndyFx and AndyFx + Maxbox. I only saw on question that was "not" in AndyFx's dump. Great job guys and thank you. For, all that recently failed the test..do not be discouraged, You simply took the test on the wrong day when great up to date dumps were not available. DO NOT GIVE UP!! Great dumps are out there now thanks to Andy, MMF and Maxbox. Use these dumps before the test changes again and also know that Windows Server 2010 / Windows 8 will be released in less than 60 days.

I passed the exam yesterday..with 876pts..about the questions..they are pretty similar..BUT dont answer too fast..in some questions u ve twice the command..(e.g. >> Fine-Grained Password AND Fine-Grained Passwordsubject) so take your time ..ah! and also remember that NTDSUTIL can reset the password for DSRM !! I got this one too..quite easy i know..but sometimes u just have some doubt.anyway, GOOD LUCK GUYS , n see you at the next exam 70-646!!! :)

I'm pretty sure this answer is wrong and it should be D because to minimize replication you should perform an install from media (ifm) with a recent backup of a writable DC so you should start by using ntdsutil.exe on the writable DC, DC1, to generate the backup before you can launch dcpromo /adv on the new DC and use that ifm install mode.

You have to convert it to Acgtive Directory-integrated zone, because only through the replication process will update the DNS records, unless you want to periodically update them manually yourself? :) The key here is in the event that the link fails. Configuring it to forward back wouldn't meet the need for updates when the link is repaired and since the link failed, how will secondary be updated. Once integrated, the replication will update correctly. At least that is how I see it. :)

I think the logic here is when you install a DC (DC1) and additionally you install a DNS (on the same server), it is always best when they are Active Directory Integrated. Or Else none of the 3 other answers ensure that when the WAN link fails the DNS server can update records and/or resolve DNS queries. Let's see what other say on this question..

I ve a little issue ab a Q in the examA..

I dont really understand the reason to do this..as the DNS on the DC2 is not integrated..they just install the dns nothing else..

for this question i would duplicate the DNS primary zone in creating a secondary zone on the DNS in DC2.

In creating a secondary zone, it will help in case of a WAN link issue..

All questions came from the dump :) but since there were 400+ questions in the dump it's far more difficul to remember them all..

SV, On the whole the questions should similar with maybe a slight change in wording. I am taking this exam myself in the next week so will comment further. From the feedback from those who have passed it seems that most of the questions, if not all, come from this dump.

@mcc - J, Q18 - The answer is C - Security Group - Global. Domain Local groups do not have visibility beyond the domain. Universal Groups can have membership from multiple domains in the Forest but its Scope/Availability is not there beyond the forest. Secondly, Universal Groups in general are useful only in a multi-domain forest which is not the case in this question.

For a Global group all its members have to be from a single domain. In this question note that Fabrikam.com has only one domain so the users concerned can be made members of a Global group which is visible to an External Trusting domain. Global groups scopeavailability makes it visible to an External Trusting domain.

There is 2 questions on the dump like, ensure private keys are archievd and archive private keys.
to archive private keys you must use CA but to ensure they are archived you must use certificate templates.

I would like to know correct answer of Question No 281.I think question 281 should be answer D " On DC that holds PDC emulator FSMO,run dfsrmig.exe". Default SYSVOL replication will use FSR. DFS-R replication is more faster than FSR replication because of compression.
