The reason is you need to create "Named site collections" because of the URL given, the New-SPSite does exactly that, try in a PowerShell window the following get-help New-SPSite -examples (scroll at the end & see example): "

The below does not hold true if the Domain User has local admin on the box. If you try and replicate what I wrote, make sure the account does not have local admin on the sharepoint box.

I agree, B is the right answer. Why? If you take a domain user and make him Site Collection admin in Site Settings, he can log in and administer the site colleciton. He CANNOT logon to the CA and enable/disable the recycle bin. If you make him site collection admin through CA, he will be able to logon to the CA and manage the recycle bin at that level.
If anyone knows different please feel free to correct me.

A) backup-spsite will backup the whole site but there is no granularity to backup lists
B) There is no cmdlet called backup-spweb
C) Export the list will work but requires administrative effort
D) This will back up the farm, but there is no granularity to backup lists

I wonder if "B" should be "task scheduler with export-spweb" because that will surely satisfy all requirements of the question.

But because it was not 1000 / 1000 I think I may be wrong with some "fixes", probably the one with the User1 becoming a site collection admin, although I am not saying (NDA) that that question was on the exam!
If you want to puzzle it out, I have the result sheet that says what "area" I scored 100% in and which had some mistakes.

75/98l Clearly the answer is D, not B as in the VCE. Why? Modifying the site permissions for Client Integration does not alter the permissions for other sites or site collections, but changing it for Authentication Providers affects the Web App.

I passed this exam on17.01.11 in Switzerland and the questions where the same as exam B of this dump.

The answer ought to be "B" since changing the Personal Site Quota Template works for the individual site collection only. It is better to define a Site Collection Quota and Locks template for the site mysite top site collection that allows each child my site sitecollection to have a limit of 100 MB. It will be valid for all site collections that are created by the users and all sites they will create themselves.
