It's 70-687 now, 71-687 was the beta exam and is now gone. Exam is not beta anymore but real full exam. there were the usual number of questions for a Microsoft desktop OS exam. I used my practice with Win8 and looked through this dump one time. I think this was easiest MS exam i've taken in 20 years. Might be because I've just run through 7 or 8 Win7 and Win2008 exams in the last 2 months but this one was very easy. First couple months of a new exam, MS tests focus mainly on what's new or different from previous version. 2 months from now, the exam will be harder and ask much wider range of questions.

@tiggermac: I believe you have taken 70-687 exam. Could you please tell me how many questions were there and what else resource you used, which helped you in the actual exam.

spot on to the real thing. Go take the test soon before things change. Maybe 3 or 4 questions that weren't in this dump. Easiest test I've taken in a long long time.

Tuurtje- that's what it says but when you go to prometric site and try to buy voucher for it through the program, the 70-687 and the Win2012 exams aren't in the list. I saw somewhere else where somebody said you had to CALL prometric to get the 2nd shot on the Win8 and Win2012.

I'm taking the test tomorrow morning and we'll see what it's like.

Well, that's not nice. Turns out the 2nd Shot stuff doesn't cover Win8 or 2012 exams so no free retake if you fail them. What a bummer.

Since MS is giving a free retake of failed exams, I've decided to go ahead and schedule this and see what it really looks like. Can't find much information online about the exam but I just passed the Win7 a couple months ago and some questions have to be similar,right? Anyway, as i get the free retake, might as well jump in and see it.

question 28- 2 factor authentication and one method has to have at least 4 characters or gestures- I disagree with PIN being one of the answers. A pin has to be used in conjunction with another authentication such as a user account. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think a fingerprint plus a pin counts as 2 factors. I'd go with biometric and a Microsoft account as the answers. I'm looking online trying to find some verification either way.

I took a step-by-step approach to as many questions as I could in a lab environment and fixed the answers. I'm not saying it's 100%; but it's damn close.
