With DFL 2008 you have available dfs-r sysvol replication. So with DFL2008 you can use DFSRDIAG tool. It is not available in dfl 2003

in DFL 2003 you can only use ntfrsutl

Is partial valid in Brazil (893 in my exam), in my exam 5 or 6 new question. If study with training kits and make labs, this dump and Serjuan dump will help you a lot, if wants only be a "dump boy" you can fail, the questions is changing.. be advised..and in the real world you don't will be prepared for administration of a server, passing only with dumps.

many answers are wrong , to defrag active directory, you do NOT restart in safe mode. you stop the ntds server and use ntdsutil to defrag/compact it. serjuan vce is still the best.

Just passed today with 925 out of 1000 here in California. SerJuan and Scrooge's dumps are valid, and I didn't get any drag and drop or no new questions. However, for those who are taking the exam soon, make sure you study both Serjuan and Scrooge's dumps and figure out the right/wrong answers. Also, consult technet, it's really helpful verifying if you have any doubts on any of the dump's questions.

But most likely, get to know the material at least. Thanks for the people who made the dumps available to everyone, and good luck to those who are taking the exam! :)

I've read comments on SerJuan dump and I must thank vernon for the hint. This is the only wrong answer on SerJuan dump.
Q272 explanation: Answer C. Advanced policy configuration does not apply to windows 2008 because it is a R2 and windows 7 feature. the answer should be create a startup script that run audipol on member servers.
As promised I will finish to clean and correct the Scrooge dump and upload it within tomorrow. Thanks to anyone who contributed and good luck.

I see no reason why a GPO should not apply to domain member servers if configured in the default domain policy. I could only suppose that the reason is because this GPO was CREATED on a Windows 7 client and does not contain the same audit policy settings that are used on Windows Server.

For the Q272 i think its trick.

It's nice to see people want to know also the skill and not only memorize the dump. I read the whole MSpress 70-640, the CRAM book and the Sybex, plus the CBT video training and of course used virtual machines to train. If I have to be honest, all the books, video, and material did not covered all the questions of this dump. A lot of lacks of deep information about DNS and CA. Therefore study ALSO the dump, I think is a plus to avoid a fail for "tricky" or not covered questions if you put a great effort to learn everything. thanks!

Yes, I think you are right. My fear is that is not the first question that looks tricky in this way. Is it true the policy has not been created, but the question says you need to apply to this group (may be it's intended the policy has been created).
But logically yes, A should be the right answer.

on the "virtual certexam manager" click on the menu bar "exam", select "options", make sure that no control box is checked in the upper section described as "item order", start the test, select take 293 questions from entire exam file (default is take selected exam A), than go to the questions you want to see.

Thank-you Scrooge!!! I was studying from SerJuan's dump, and got this dump on Saterday!! I saw Scrooge's dumpie had many more questions that SerJuan's did not have, I am so glad I got this dump on Saturday, all the questions that was not in SerJuan's dump I foud in the exam, luckily it was in this dump. This dump is good for all. (Unless your from Poland) :-) Just joking, the same dump can be used across the globe, everyone gets to write from the same Microsoft pool of questions when it is exam time. Unless you are from the U.S, they get the easy ones :-) I am just kidding - again..

This dump works for everyone - My guess us, every week that goes by, there is about another 5 new questions in the exam, of which you will probably get 25% in your exam. With this odds, you will still pass IF you get every single question right that you get in this dump, in your exam.

The three duplicate questions there may be, is the least of your worries, the exam is difficult enough, the three duplicates there may be will only cause you to do better, repetition, repetition, repetition is good for you. When you referring to passing rate, I assume you are talking about the exam "since this is the only passing rate that matters", as I have said twice on this "blog" for the lack of a better word, the passing rate is 70% in the exam. 50 questions in total, there were no case studies "you would know it as simulations" I had two drag and drops in my exam, they all came from this dump. I have dome much reading, and all the drag and drop questions came from this dump.

Tell me Rob, how long did you spend with these dumps? Half a day, a full day? I learned the dumps before this version, it was 264 Q&A. Then this version came out, with only 30 new questions. By this time, I already new the 264 Q&A by heart, got 98% for it, in my dump simulation. It took me half a day to learn the new 30 odd questions. All in all, about 2 weeks to get 99% for 293 Q&A in my dump simulation, and it took me 45 minutes. No one expects you to know the dumps like I did in a full day. It took me 2 weeks. Why don't you pay someone to write the exam for you, having the questions for the exam not enough?
Also, I have video training, Trainsignal and CBT nuggets, I only did the dumps when I completed the theory and the LABS. The dumps was to ensure I pass. There is allot of hard work in this, no one said it would be easy. Is this not the price of success? When I passed my dumps (this dump) and got 98%, I saw all the questions (of 47) in the exam that is in this dump, the remaining 3 was new. I have done the exam, and can tell you, if you learn this dump by heart (3 days) not half a day, or a full day, you WILL pass. I paid for this dump, I am giving back to the community (I too got allot from examcollection) So I am giving some of the dumps I paid for back to you, and they are good, I used them to pass.

I did the complete dump yesterday in about 4.5 hours with some brakes in between, and got the impression that there are some dupplicates in it, also it would be handy if it got split in more sections, is there a way to edit such a dump?

There are 50 questions in the exam, 2:20 minutes to do them in. And no, you don't need to study the whole dump, only those questions you want to pass. This is the nice this about dumps, if you don't want to do them, don't want to trust them, rip the old book out, and study that.

There is no simulations in 70-640, there never was. Or are you referring to simulations for study purposes? There are no case studies in 70-640, other wise refereed to as "simulations" The only place there are / or were case studies was in 70-647, but if I am not mistaken, I heard from a close friend that they removed case studies from the exams.

The correct answer is: upgrade client computers and install ad rms in seltestengine_srv5

AD RMS support only windows Vista & Windows 7 (not XP) and server has to be installed in a member server, not a DC
In Technet says RMS requires an RMS Server, aSQL Server, and a AD DS Domain Controller, and RMS-aware application. The cliente Vista.

I am sure debating about Microsoft products is like debating about religion. You follow the answers you have to too pass. This is the latest dumps with the new Q&A Microsoft is asking in the exam. Use it, don't use it..It is all the same to me.

@Scrooge, correct perhaps but still I think the questio aboutt sysvol replication is to deside btween ntfsr and dsfr, repadmin is directory replication, therefor the answer in your test is wrong.
I toke the course aswell where this is explicitly clearyfied, it toke the trainer at least 5 minutes to explain this.

The PDC emulator role holds the timeserver, so that is dc2 in that case, and the thing with the 10.1.1.2/32 is that you create a subnet with only one host and place that in a separate site so that clients are in the other site with the preferred dc.

Sorry for the posts, but I think there a few more questions wrong.
In the dump for domain to keep the same time as an external time server, the right answer s from DC2 run w32tm.exe, because DC2 has the Primary domain Controller (when time is hosted)

Hi. I have a doubt in a question where the answer is different in 2 dumps.
Contoso.com has 2 DC's. dc1:10.1.1.1/16 and dc2:10.1.1.2/16
All computers ha ip¡ from range 10.1.2.1 to 10.1.2.240. Need to minimize the number of client authentication requests sent to dc2.
I have a doubt between a subnet with prefix 10.1.1.2/32 and 10.1.2.0/24 prefix.

can anyone help me with this doubt?

Sysvol is not something you replicate within the directory, it contains the policies.
repadmin is about ntds, sysvol gets replicated as a folder. from 2008 you can set the replication method to dfsr which is far more efficient.

for instance: you updated from 2003 dc's to 2008r2 dc's, you need to minimize sysvol replication.
there you point out on a gc run repadmin, while the dfrsrmig on the pdc emulator is the right answer imho.

I'm agree with you. I recommended to all people NOT remember the position of the answers. We have to understand the answer and why is the correct.
The next monday I'll take the exam.

Took the exam this morning - passed 816/1000:
I had 50 questions, 2 drag and drops, please, be careful of the following:
80% of the LATEST dumps "293 Q&A" was in my exam - even though I had the latest dump that were released, I still had 3 new questions in my exam.
The questions are the same, but they would remove / chop and change the answers, they will keep the right answers in the exam, but change the rest, and for no apparent reason highlight some answers, which you won't see in the dumps.
Pay special attention to the questions that has more than one answer "multiple choice" questions, do NOT rely on remembering the positions of the answers, the positions of the answers change.
Know the right answers by remembering the sentence, not the position of the answer, also try and get to know the wrong answers, this will help you choose the right answer. Try to pay attention to answers that look the same, spot the difference, and try and remember the differences in answers that look alike.
Any way - I have uploaded Dump4Certs latest brain dump, 293 Q&A, you should see it soon, by tomorrow on this Examcollection. This was my experience, good luck with yours!
