In response to Exam C Q10, I would say that answer "A" Interfaces from Dns Manager is correct. The interfaces tab gives you the option to specify which interface DNS will operate on. For example if you had a server with multiple NIC's connected to different subnets you could use the interfaces tab to specify which NIC (subnet) DNS will operate on.

Hi Guys and Gals,

Just passed with a 9xx in LATAM and the majority of questions were from this dump "Microsoft.Pass4Sure.70-642.v2012-11-22.by.Bruce.349q.vce" I had about 4 new questions. One of which had to do with Network Monitor and running an extended monitor on a server resulting in high processor and memory utilization. The only viable answer option was to disable Conversations.

The other question was to do with having a scheduled backup job that conflicted with a process and needing to reschedule the job to start at 5:15 instead of 5:00. Answer options included AT, Task Scheduler, Backup console and a few more. This question required two answers.

I also got two subnetting questions one of which was a bit time consuming where you were given two IP address ranges for Montreal and Seattle and you needed to create a new IP for a new site Denver that would not conflict with the other two sites. The answer options were in CIDR form between /16 to /20. Did not have a point n shoot questions.

I don't think that modify start address would work here. 10.10.10.0/24 means that we already have whole 10.10.10.x range available (10.10.10.1-10.10.10.254). What can we modify it to? Any modification that would yield more addresses would require subnet mask to be changed..

That's what I was thinking. /config will make it listen ipv6, but the key word is ONLY ipv6.

I am changing my answer to this question. I am going with C:
Run dnscmd.exe and specify the /resetlistenaddresses parameter

Reason: Even if we run dnscmd /config /EnableIPv6 1, as a start to the approach, it does not satisfy the question. If we leave it with just that, the dsn server will listen to both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. The only way to satisfy the question is with /resetlistenaddresses

If you were to run dnscmd [ServerName] /resetlistenaddresses [ListenAddress] and list each individual IPv6 IP, then yes, I think it would only listen for IPv6 IPs. If this is the question about only resolving queries for IPv6 clients, I am picking answer B: Run dnscmd.exe and specify the /config parameter.
The full command would be:
dnscmd /config /EnableIPv6 1

I could be wrong, but my reasoning is that I don't know a command option that goes with /resetlistenaddresses that will listen to only IPv6 and disable all of IPv4. Instead it only lets you listen to specific IP address.

This is the GUI equivalent to going to the DNS console, selecting Properties, Interfaces, and then inputting specific IP addresses to listen to.

@Earnest Sorry, my bad, I didn't completely read the question. It does say that application is not listed, but in the question it already says "you synchronize WSUS server". So, initial synchronization is already done :)

Peca, Modify Product and Classification Setting must be done first. WSUS will only download what is tick under here eg Service Pack. If a product is unticked it won't be be downloaded by the WSUS. Modify what you want first before sync. All the products will be listed under Product and Classification settings, but only selected /ticked object will be downloaded.

B is not a correct choice since server name is web1, you don't need a CNAME record for this to access the url as http://web1. So teh correct answer is A.
