Hey guys, the first time I failed my exam, because I underestimated the corrections. I passed my exam last week with 880/900/900. I studied the Samuel VCE exam and the Carlo VCE. I can advise to serious look at the corrections from JLC in the Samuel VCE and compare this with the Carlo VCE to study. The questions from the Carlo VCE are really good. I got exact the same questions on my exam.
FROM the Carlo VCE look at these questions:

Look for answers at the Samuel VCE - JLC corrections and on Technet and OnlineTestking.

and in exam B Q 7, Gp4 has denied read policy for group 1 and Gp5 has full control so this means that Gp5 will be applied or am I wrong ??

Exam A Q138 on Warb - Answer should be Loopback processing, not item level targetting. You want computer settings applied to User one when he logs on. This is loopback, not item level targetting.

One question is wrong: upgrade server 2012 core standard to server core enterprise?! There's no such thing as Server 2012 enterprise (core or not)!

They specify it is a 2012 server and one of the key feature of the new 2012 vhd(vhdx) is the size increase.

I got an 800/926/866 on my test.

On 70-410 I got probably six questions not in the dump though. Only about 2 or 3 questions from the other two tests that weren't in the dump. One was very similar to Question 93 in the new questions, but was asking about DHCP. It was asking to installed DHCP from the C:source file but I don't remember the exact wording of the question though. I choose the same answer as WinSxS and I believe that to be right. The only other question I remember not on there was asking about two servers in a workgroup. It said that both servers have a user account named Admin1 with the same username and password. It said that you try and connect to the other server in server manager but get accessed is denied. The only answer I remember were to add into the remote users group and something with enable psremoting command. Wish I could be more help on that, but I can't remember exactly. I really was sweating out the 70-410 exam while I was taking the other sections, but I greatly appreciate all your work on this!!

- 1 run over all L_Ranger dump questions (246) on training mode and a second on questions that I've made a mistake (54).

Kept track of questions in a way that I'll know during the test my score. Like:

This give me confidence to move forward or, do a review if I'm too close to the mark.

I believe the answer is still E. This is why:

The question states that you need to promote Server 1 to a Domain Controller using IFM which is a 2012 server. All of the other DC's are 2008 R2. The problem here is that installation from media can not cross different operating system versions. In other words you must use a windows 2012 DC in order to promote a member server to a 2012 DC using IFM.

Exam A Q14. Your answer says E (upgrade to windows 2012 before you can create an IFM). This is wrong because all of the domain controllers are 2008 R2 and nowhere does the question say that you need to create a 2012 DC. So the answer should be D - create IFM from DC1

Yes, study both the New and original sections. Most questions from the exam will be from the new section, however you will most likely get around 10 questions (give or take) from the original section.

@L_Ranger 900+ today, maybe 1-2 questions I didn't recognise fro your dump.

Answers were not in the same order for ANY of the questions they were mixed up, so do not just study that, randomise answers during practice.

You also need to know the context of the questions sometimes, for example New Exam Question section, Q102 - someone reported that "D. Computer Management" - was not even a choice anymore, well guess what ! it was for me !

@L_Ranger I'm pretty confident that B. Server Manager is the answer there. If you look in the picture in the explanation there, you can see that the disk management menu is opened in server manager. And given the push for everything to be done through Server Manager now, I think thats the answer

We debated this back and fourth for a while and came up with
"D. Computer Management" - which I think is correct, well it's not even a choice anymore. The other three are still there and he cant remember the other one. the other three were:

A. Share and Storage Management
B. Server Manager
C. New-VirtualDisk
D. ?

He just txt'd me.he said that the other choice for Q19 was:
D. GPO Loopback processing.

Ok, on New Exam Question 19 on the actual test did not have the answer that we have chosen which is "C. GPO Links" He said that GPO Links was not even a choice. He aid that "A. GPO Status" was there, "B. WMI Filtering", "D. Item-Level targeting" and one other one that he couldn't think of. He said he chose "Item Level Targeting" out of process of elimination. Not sure if that is correct at this point.

Also, Q50 from New questions didn't have "Dfsgui.msc" as an answer, it had "dfsmgmt.msc " as an answer in its place. (I believe someone mentioned that already)

And Q74.This one's actually important
Currently our choices are as follows:
A. From a command prompt, run sc.exe and specify the sdset parameter.
B. From the Services console, configure the General settings.
C. From Windows PowerShell, run Set-Service and specify the -StartupType parameter.
D. From the Services console, configure the Log On settings.

He said that the only options that were available were all SC.exe with parameter choices. He believes these were some of them:

A. From a command prompt, run sc.exe and specify the sdset parameter. (Which is what we currently have as the answer)
B. From a command prompt, run sc.exe and specify the config parameter
C. From a command prompt, run sc.exe and specify the query parameter
D. From a command prompt, run sc.exe and specify the qc parameter (not 100% on this one)

Thanks for all of the positive feedback guys. Glad Warb and I and everyone else (timmeh, LV, Shark, just to name a few), could continually throw ideas around until we got this thing pretty close. We'll never know for sure if we got it 100 %, but I think its pretty close.

A co-worker of mine just took the test yesterday and passed with 850/920/900.

He said there were 2 new questions and about 3 questions that were the same question but different set of answers. I will try to find out more specifics.

@stus - Indeed all 5 look correct. However the online demo provided by MS and in CBT nuggets, and other online resources.it all starts with installing Windows Backup Service. I went with what's in the dump and got 940 in that section.so take that for what it's worth.

L_Ranger Q71 Azure backup. I know there was some debate earlier about this question. All 5 look answers correct to me. If you can only use 4 then you don't need to install windows server backup

Just passed with 9xx/9xx/9xx! Now that we corrected the answers that needing fixed, the results were much better than what I got before.

With L_Ranger's most recent, I can get 242 out of 246 right, so needless to say this dump is valid. Mohammad must be referring to the wrong one.

In a previous comment, you said that you took the Exam on Oct1. If you took the exam on Oct 1, how could you have studied the VCE from ward that he released on Oct 3? I think you probubly were studying an old version of the VCE.

As for 4shared being intrusive: you don't have to sign in. The download is free, you only have to wait for few seconds. Don't sign up. When I download from 4shared, i don't use my account, only to upload.

until you do not use dfsrmig.exe to migrate the sysvol replication, the sysvol replication still use NTFRS, when you migrate from 2003 to 2008/12.
the DFSR is use when you create an AD in 2008/12.

and can someone tell me why D&D Q31 has the order it does? Drive is hosted on Server2.ergo it's the target. Server2 needs to add an ISCSI init. ID to the target drive. Then since the question is regarding creating a volume on Server1.Server1 has to connect to the ISCSI target (Server2) and to do that, you have to configure the ISCSI initiator settings on Server1 to establish the remote connection. Then you can create the volume on Server1. Why the second step is creating the ISCSI initiator from Server2 is really bothering me.just doesn't make sense. Can someone please explain this?

Ok I want confirmation on D&D Q3 from L_Ranger's dump. The explanation reference is for 2008 R2, not 2012. The CBT Nuggets vid order goes Remediation Server Group, then WSHV, then health policy.then network policy. But when running the actual wizard, it's WSHV, then health policy, then network policy, then remediation group. Point is, it doesn't look like there's any specific order they HAVE to go in, just what is it that MS recommends. Question is, what exactly is that?

Q1: I would say B) is the right answer (WSHV is a default SHV so no need to create it).

According to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd182017.aspx WSHV has to be configured before health policies but as i said you can use the default WSHV to configure a health policy.

So the right answer boils down to the need of reconfiguring the default WSHV or not.

Q102: Is not Server Manager, but Computer Management, both Server Manager Wizard and New-VirtualDisk creates VHDs in storage pools, not local. That picture with Server Manager is from Server 2008 - changed in 2012.

@timmeh: Q21 you are correct, you need to install the DCHP tools.

@cluster:Q8 Server Operators: On domain controllers, members of this group can log on interactively, create and delete shared resources, start and stop some services, back up and restore files, format the hard disk, and shut down the computer. DAC is new in 2012, but conditional expressions were already present in 2008 R2.
DAC uses enhanced security descriptors introduced in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 to allow conditional expressions in user and device claims and resource properties.

Ok, Q75 I believe is correct with "C: On a server in Cluster1, click Migrate Roles." I thought we agreed on that.

Q66, I agree with you actually, seeing the requirements, the only way to allow heartbeat traffic on that network would be to allow Cluster communication. It is against Microsoft's recommendation, but they are telling you to enable it. It's one of those ridiculous MS examples! However, I did update my answer. Any more feedback on this one would be great.

Q43, Oh man, I'm on the fence with this one. One way I still feel you need to have a 2012 DC to use Conditional Expressions in 2012, on the other hand, I see your point about removing the "deny" permissions. I think the Exhibit is trying to trick us here. Forget about the permissions for a second. Regardless, Conditional Expressions are a part of Dynamic Access Control in 2012 which is new. You must have a 2012 DC to implement it. Confused at this point on this one.

Exam B Q43 and Q75 are not fixed, but already agreed to be incorrect.

Q66 I think is wrong also. Table states public network 3 has cluster heartbeat, so it should allow cluster traffic. MS recommendation is not to allow it, but requirements in this question are specific to allow it.

Thx all for the time and effort into refining these exams. I think we can all agree that MS created some ridiculous questions with little to no "real-life" value to them. We're all trying to do our best to get the answers as correct as possible, but I think we can agree that there are some that we may never know for sure or there just may be different ways of doing things to get the same results.

After a bit of more digging i think the right answers for Q43 are A and D, C is required for different types of claims, not group members.

Q36: Answer is wrong, the correct one is B:

What should you do?

As we can see in the exibit the Manageability status is Online, so no need to run winrmquickconfig (and that's enabled by default on win2012). So answer B is not quite right.

A correct answer which is not in the options would be to add DC2 to DHCP Administrators on Server1.

@timmeh right, A makes no sense, i assumed that is bad formulated and was talking about adding it to a security group, which anyway has anything to do with the Server Group in the Server Manager.

@LV - within server manager you can add/remove servers from server groups without restarting them. Just tested it in a lab to confirm. So pertaining to Q22, I've tried to replicate the issue and if the computer account doesn't exist in AD then you can't add it to a group. Well what if you delete the computer account after you've added it.tried that, it throws a kerberos error.not "access denied". Needless to say, I've been unable to replicate the scenario in a lab so I can't verify the correct answer. Answer A doesn't make sense as it's already part of the domain.so why create a computer account if it's already there?

Update on Q86:

"DFS Replication replaces the File Replication Service (FRS) as the replication engine for replicating the AD DS SYSVOL folder in domains that use the Windows Server 2008 domain functional level."

We are told that all old DC 2003 were updated to 2012 but no info was given about changing the forest/domain level. So ntfrs should be used.

Q22. It's a member of the domain but not of the group, after you add the server to the group you have to logon again to take the new group into consideration, so a restart is needed after the server is added to the group.

Q43. I agree with you with A being a valid answer.

"When using user claims, you should make sure that you have the appropriate Windows Server 2012 domain controller environment to support these user claims. The two main domains of interest are the User domain and the File Server domain."

So this question is a bit . screwed.

Q20 and Q76: yes, a snapshot would take into consideration (include) the RAM used, so decreasing that would help. But so would help shutting down the VMs.

Q86: ntFRS still exists on win 2012 as a compatibility with older servers. The servers were updated from 2003 so maybe that's why you have to use ntFRS. Not sure if that's corect or not.

To all those waiting in the wings for the definitive 'dump' this proves we are not idiots, buy arguing and refining the actual dump to be right. Thanks to all involved.

@ Mark please go and drink something! I take the test today and all questions are from this dump. The problem whith this dump @warb is had some errors.

Thanks for the response. I totally agree. It would be highly unlikely that they would add/change questions so quickly after they just added new questions. Maybe more people can respond who have taken the test today or within the next couple of days.

My 2 cents to new questions answer correction:

Q86 should be DFS instead of FRS, because servers are running 2012. FRS was replaced by DFS in server 2008.

Q22 should be restart netlogon. Server is already domain member and to restore communication with domain you need to restart netlogon service.

Q35 and Q75 should be migrate instead of move. I posted source in this thread already. Move to node is used in same cluster, not between separate clusters.

Q43 should be AD. 2012 domain is not needed because conditional expression was introduced in 2008 R2. Also deny always win, so it must be removed.

Q20 and Q76 changing RAM size of VM doesn't sound right as well.

They have to go through an approval process and metering system.
1 month, I doubt it's enough to produce that amount of valid question.

Honestly, my view of it, it's either someone who's misinformed and didn't get the updates or, a troll. But, I'll keep an eye opened with Pass4Sures. they usually update a week after the official change @ Prometric. Which means, we'd get a new release by next monday.

I believe I'll have a good enough VCE by the end of the week. I post my updates everyday too. We already have a few test takers who passed with the combination of the different exams. (Ping, L_Ranger, Just_Me and me)

Just use the latest one from L_Ranger or me.
I use my VCE for studying and I compare with @L_Ranger version. (also Just_Me and others who do release, to see the difference)
There might be an extra 15 - 25 answers that will change before I go take my exam.

L_RANGER DUMP:
Q29 - This one's throwing me. The most restrictive permission gets applied, so if we keep "READ" permissions there in NTFS for IT, then they still won't have MODIFY even if the DAC rule grants it. That's even in the explanation given.
Plus, the "authenticated users" group isn't listed in NTFS, and the option is "assign the modify permissions." Yes you need auth users for the policy to apply, but remember most restrictive permissions wins.

Q50 - dfsgui.msc is for Server 2003, not 2012. Carla mentioned dfsmgmt.msc, which would be accurate from what I can tell

Q63 - had "run ad fs federation server conf wizard and select farm federation server option" instead of install-adfsfarm on actual test

Q95 - pretty sure this should be B. Warb's recent dump has it as B.mirrored volume instead of storage pool.thoughts?
