Guys, please enlighten me regarding exam N q2 (Fabrikam testlet) - we have two cluster nodes, and for "node&disk majority" we need an odd number of participants. But this means that the minimum number of LUNs would be 1.

I have been studying for this for over a year, of which 9 months were part of my university course (the uni base some of their modules on Microsoft exams but construct their own exams as part of your degree). I believe this exam along with the 70-640 AD should only be taken with at least one years experience in the field, but it's a catch 22 for people like me starting on a new career - to be even considered for a job without experience you need certs. But it's real world experience that will make you a better admin, there's only so much book reading and virtual labs you can do!!

Exam Q question 4 is 100% wrong. They are asking how you can make sure that the application in question can run on Windows 7 machines. this has nothing to do with virtualization it is a compatibility check so MIcrosoft Application Compatibility Toolkit is the correct answer here. B

Some changes in the way questions are phrased.

For instance drag drop question for placing servers in a cluster at production and DR site, on my test you had to have the resilience to node failure at the DR site instead of at production.

Also a new question ( or one I have missed in the tests here ). You have three servers acting as NPS ( Radius ) servers. And you have 30 wireless access points as radius clients. Question was on where to centralise the stored auditing results. Two answers didnt make sense at all. Then there was one answer on linking the radius servers to store info in a SQL database requiring purchase of SQL server standard to be installed on one of the radius servers. Last answer and was to store each of the servers logging on a central file share in IAS format. As one requirement was to minimise costs I guesed the centralised file share rather than purchase a SQL server license.

another comment on the Lucerne scenarion testlet. It says that "passwords for all user accounts must expire every 60 days". But that stil doesnt mean you cant use service accounts. User accounts are for people/staff to use in interactive logins. Service accounts are suitable for "Managed service accounts are used to run various services for applications that are operating in your domain environment" and so are ideal for SQL. I dont think the security requirement for 60 day password changes for users is enough to exclude using service accounts.

My thoughts on this - WSB will back up the SF file serveras required and provide for bare metal restore. For the DC - would you need a bare metal solution since you can just rebuild a DC an let it replicte AD info. Personally provided I ahe enough other DC's, I never see point in backing up the DC themselves.

Sergey, PSO also makes sense. Password interval for the managed service account is provided with New-ADServiceAccount cmdlet (default is 30 days). Also SQL1 and SQL2 are Win Server 2008R2 which is condition for using managed service accounts. Tough one.

@ Sergey, the question is the same but the case studies are different. In one case the requirement specifically states collecting computer "EVENTS" in one location - that is Event Subscriptions. In the second case, the requirements state that they want to track "CPU utilization, memory allocation, etc.." - that is DCS. Check out the cases studies you'll see. Hope that helps.

Definitely valid, just passed with 900 and only used this dump. There were 5 testlets with between 4 and 6 questions. 4 Testlets at the beginning of the exam and one at the end. They were:

there is a question at exam h that goes : you need to reocommend a solution for managing the shared folders that meets the company's technical requirments. what should you include in the recommendation ? and the answer is : computer management and i think the answer is wrong and the right answer is share and storage management although i wonder abut fsrm can anyone confirm what is the right answer for this question ?

I just took the exam 3 hours ago here in the Philippines and I can attest that dump is still valid althought there are about 2 new questions. I also had the Data Collector Set Question and I got it right as my score report shows 100% in monitoring server category. My score is 887.

The answer is something like: Create a new DCS by using the System Performance DCS template.
